Appearance: lupulin-pollen yellow with a hint of beige. The head forms a ¼-finger of off-white. Retention is fair. Micro-fine bubbles at the edge is all that remains shortly after being poured.

Aroma: an underwhelming nose, especially given the style and more so given Weldwerks ability. You have to bury your nose to get any aroma.

Flavor: the most accurate description is a generic Juicy Bits. The hops lack any juicy, tropical notes. Good but not great. Alcohol is present with a light sawdust flavor, but not oxidized.

Mouthfeel: medium-medium, yet still full bodied for the 8.3% abv.

Overall: good but not great. This hop combo lacks flavor. I love Citra and Lotus, but Azacca always underwhelms. Weldwerks doesn’t make a bad IPA, but they make better ones than Juicy Fish. This is sub-Juicy Bits. I’m not impressed, and I wouldn’t buy this one again.

This is a very good representation of a NE IPA from Weldworks. Tried on tap in Denver on a recent trip.
L - beautifully opaque, but not overly so for a NE style, Decent carbonation for a NE style.
S - less on the nose as one would expect after tasting, some slight astringency, but citrus, orange pith present
T - well-balanced with all delicious citrus notes - orange, grapefruit, pineapple with a slight bittery pith on the finish to entice the next sip
F - great pillowy feel on this 8.3% ABV

Having tried many of the "best" NE style IPAs, I was very, very pleased with this offering out west.

L - Dynomite if you like the murk. Opaque foamy orange. Stunning.
S - a little bit muted on the nose, although you do get citric, dank, pineapple
T - Where this collaboration beer shines - full, lush, pillowy - more of the citric/Pacific "juice" but with some hop bite
F - Also impressive, think tropical pillows and it's close. Great palate impression. Hides the 8.3% ABV very well. Too well.
O - fantastic beer, maybe from the best CO brewery we have right now... killin' it.
