Summer Starry Noche started as a carefully-selected blend of Medianoche batches aged for 19-34 months in a variety of freshly-emptied bourbon and rye barrels, including 15-year Sazerac Rye, 6-year Thomas H. Handy Rye, 6-year E.H. Taylor Bourbon, 7-year Blanton's Bourbon, and 12-year Elijah Craig Bourbon. The blend was conditioned on more than 3 pounds per gallon of toasted coconut flakes and raw coconut chips and finished with toasted macadamia nuts.

In true Weldwerks fashion, the pour is straight up thick motor oil. Zero carbonation or head retention; only coconut particulates remain as the beer settles.
While verging on suntan lotion, you also get some great Mounds candy bar richness. WIth more time to develop, it really hones in on coconut macaroon pastry bliss.
The palate hits with coconut and chocolate right off the bat, but for such a pastry-sweet beer, there's a nice balanced bitterness coming from the toasted coconut and macadamia nuts. I would've hoped for a bit more of a present barrel character. That said, there's a clear warmth from the gravity, and on the long finish there's a sharpness that lingers from the rye barrel, along with a touch of torched oak.
Thick thick thick. Somehow it's still a good sipper, with a low but present carbonation and increasing barrel presence with time in the glass. The 14.6% heat balances the cloying sweetness well. While initially I was thinking this was overbearing in its pastry character, my opinion continued changing the longer I let it sit.

Bottled June 2022. Purchased off of Tavour May 2023. Poured at 57°. Inky black with ruby edges; very brief thin red brown ring, otherwise no cap nor lace; lots of flecks of coconut; thick heavy legs. Bourbon and toasted coconut nose; hot boozy retro nasal. Sweet bourbon, loads of coconut, and sugary chocolate. Thick heavy body; chewy viscous feel; alcohol burn on tip of tongue; face flushing warmth from 14.6% abv; light carbonation; barrel dryness in finish. Overall, sweet like a Mounds candy bar, but boozy; lots of residual sugar; truly a sipper due to both the alcohol and sweetness; tasty, but diabetes in a bottle.

2022 version poured from a 16.9oz bottle into a Bourbon County tulip glass. Wonderfully thick. Tasty coconut. Sweet but not overly. I had no problem finishing the entire bottle.
