Poured from a 375ml bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled in March 2012.

L- Medium hazy, ruby red, three finger pink head that died quickly to nothing.

S- Lots of funk with a slight blue cheese, a dry cherry, a medium tart aroma. The cap had some gunk on it that smelled like balsamic vinegar.

T- Medium sour, dry cherry, lots of funk but not overpowering like many American sours are, has a medical bitterness on the finish.

F- Moderately carbonated which adds some fullness to the lighter alcohol beer.

O- Very excited to try my first Cantillon and I have to say that this is maybe the best balanced and crafted sour I've had. It seems a bit difficult to get those funky notes without losing control over it but this one is nice and the level of tartness is evident but does not distract too much. This is an older bottle so the cherry is not as sweet as fresh, I'd like to try a fresh bottle someday.

2015 Edition. 375 ml bottle.
ABV: 5.0% Bottled: June 18 2015.
Got this bottle from Belgian Happines.

This is perfection! The beer pours hazy ruby red like a Strawberry Margarita with a two finger high, pink head that pretty fast dismisses to nothing.

Nose: Tart but sweet, cherries, strawberry, red fruit, citrus, lime, barnyard, hay and wood.
Taste: So refreshing! Fresh cherries, green apples, tart, funk, oak and lemon.
Mouth: Light body and medium carbonation. Sour, sweet and dry. Delicious!

Vintage 2014
Poured at Diorama bar, Firenze, Italy

A: Translucent ruby, 1 fingers width of pink tinged foamy head, decent retention, little lacing. 4.25

S: Oaky, sweet, tart. Lots of cherry and dark fruits. Smells like a dream. Incredible balance of sweet and tart. 4.75

T: Like the nose it's an incredible balance of sweet, oak, and tartness. Big sour cherry, wonderful oakiness, sweet fruits. Exceptional. 5

M/D: Medium body, very dry, carbonation heavy but appropriate, wonderful mouthfeel and great drinkability. 4.75

O: Probably my favorite Cantillon to date, which would make it my favorite Gueuze/Lambic to date. World class beer. 5

2014 vintage, poured from a 750ml bottle at a large bottle share. Color was great, just what you would expect. Aroma and taste were perfect. Fruit was not overpowering but it balanced well with the Cantillon funk.
