Bottle poured into a flute

Thanks to Keanlacrosse for sharing

Pours a golden color with an orange core and a tight white cap. Good retention with some light sip marks.

The nose is surprisingly tame and extremely well balanced. Lemon tartness is dominant with some peaches and apricots poking through. Dry oak with a barnyard funk. Mainly wet hay and must.

The fruit flavors leap to the front with lemon leading the charge. Wet hay, must and dry oak through the middle. This is amazingly well balanced. I was expecting something a little more bold, but this is welcome too.

Light bodied with minimal carbonation. Clean all the way through with a dry, fruity finish.

This beer is delicious. Meticulously crafted and blended. Everything playing well together. This is welcome in my fridge any time.

Wow! Great sour lemon aroma is the first thing that hits me. Cloudy gold color with a bubbly white head. Taste is sour with lemon and some tart green apples. Dry and fizzy. This reminds me a bit of the Lost Abbey Isabelle I just had. I shared this with a friend and I thought it was going to destroy her palate, but she really enjoyed it.

Cork dated 2006: Dark gold/orange colour, pretty clear, with a short cap of fine, white bubbles. There was a little clumpy lacing and it had pretty good head retention. Acidic, earthy aroma, some horse, with a light vinegar and green apple quality. Fruity too, mostly grapeskin, with a little malt as it warmed. Very tart and acidic, light vinegar and some saltiness. Fruity like a dry white wine, some green apple, with a bit of earthy barnyard funk. Sourness lingers on the palate. Quite dry with a little astringency, but there's still some residual sugar in there. Medium bodied, moderate yet spritzy carbonation. Tasty and refreshing. I really liked this one.
