A- An absolutely gorgeous ruby red with a large pink head that dissipates somewhat quickly. It glows in the glass and is one of the prettiest beers I've seen!

S- Super funky, slightly cheesy, lots of tart cherries and some oak and grass.

T- Sweet and tart fruit, primarily cherries. Tons of oak character, some dry granny smith apple. Dry and refreshing!

M- Medium with a nice amount of, carbonation and dryness.

O- An awesome kriek! Cantillon always owns it!

Poured from a 750 mL bottle into an enlarged snifter. 2011 sticker, bottled on September 5, 2013.

Appearance: Pours a vibrant, pretty much opaque grapey red color, and leaves a hint of reddish head that fades away almost immediately. A unique looking beer for sure. (4.75)

Smell: Big tart cherries, a bit of funky cheese, oak, grape skins. Really balanced and mouth-watering aroma. (4.75)

Taste: Tons of tart cherry, but not overly tart, decent amount of that Cantillon funk, spiced oak, vinegar. So much cherry, straight off the tree. Really drinkable and balanced. Not nearly as sour as Cantillon Kriek. (4.75)

Mouth-feel: Medium carbonation with a great feel, and a dry finish. (4.75)

Overall: This is a fantastic kriek. The cherry comes through so nicely and is just the right amount of tart. This combined with the oakyness and funk is a wonderful combo. The balance is great, and this is an easy drinker with a lot of flavor.
