Gorgeous to look at, and almost just as good to drink. I found the cherries to be even a little bit sweet to help combat the sour tartness, which I loved. Still can't decide if I like this or the LP Framboise better...

2012 sticker with a 2014 cork drank on 7/14/2016

L-thin but small pink head after a lot of foam disappeared quickly after pouring. dark almost ruby red

S-funky, acidic, heavy cherry and oak

T-tart cherries, tons of complexity from other fruits but the cherry stands out exquisitely along with a nice oak balance

F-super drinkable, coats the mouth a ton. really nice lingering tastes. hard to let this sit and enjoy over time

O-amazing beer. Just amazing. Would love to have again, but may be my only one I'll ever have. Incredible

Vintage 2006. Opened in 2016 as a toast to friendship and craft beer.

L: Red wine lipstick crimson on the body with heated Jell-O colored foam on the pour.

S: Predominantly red wine and oak, with bits of earthy funk and muted fruit lingering on the nose. As the beer warms, the aromas open up, highlighting a wonderful blend of vinous cherry notes that take over the olfactory senses.

T: Very tart up front, showcasing Cantillon's signature lambic, then mellowing after the first wave as the sour cherries begin to pop; acidic fruit flavor then takes over, resonating throughout the palate, leaving hints of oak and mild tannins that finish with a taste of sweet cherries.

F: The mouthfeel is light and clean with a dry finish. Well carbonated.

O: This is one of the finest beers I have ever had. It showcases the best of what a fruited Belgian lambic can offer to the senses. For me, it is the near perfect balance of sour, funk, fruit, and meticulous barrel aging, all coming to together to create a masterful beer.
