2014. An amazing beer in every sense. A perfect combination of funk, sour, and fruit.

Had side by side with dG Imp Apricot Bu and CCB Apricot Grove. I realize neither are lambic, but Fou was such a clear winner. Always a treat.

Appearance: pours a light milky straw color. Less than a finger of a white head forms with a strong retention. as it swirls around semi solid lacing. it has a Milky haze and is completely opaque.

Smell: apricot, funky. Sour. Vinegar. Light wheaty base

Taste: opens with juicy apricots to nectarine flesh, lots of fruity flavors mostly citrus and stone fruit. in the middle comes a barnyard funk along with some solid oak flavors. lemon juice and a very light acidity comes through. slight wheat malt backbone. mild to low vinegar

Mouthfeel: lighter feel, quite a bit of funkiness but nothing over powering. some vinegar and a light acidity. very strong refreshing qualities.

Overall: a seriously killer beer. has all the funk you could want while remaining not only drinkable but refreshing as well. amazing fruit and sour qualities.

Well obviously this was amazing it's world class and easily sets the standard. I've had the opportunity to taste it both out of the bottle and on tap and both blow you away. Don't really need to get into details on it besides believe the hype.

The apricot adds a richness and body that makes this lambic one of my favorites from Cantillon. Very well balanced and drinkable compared to some of offerings. Meaning I could drink many of these, which I cannot say for some of the more raw and sour versions
