750 ml bottle dated 2/7/17 poured into a tulip glass.

Look: Pours black with a dark tan one finger head with nice retention.

Smell: Lots of bourbon and oak up front on the nose with roasted malts.

Taste: Bourbon whiskey and chocolate are dominating flavors. Roasted malts. Hints of sweet vanilla really round out the experience before the bourbon and high alcohol content return for the finish.

Feel: medium carbonation and medium bodied.

Overall: This is truly a beer for fans of Kentucky Bourbon, as the whiskey flavor takes center stage to make a great beer even better.

A - Black with a thin tan ring around the snifter. 3

S - faint sweet Bourbon. 2.75

T - boozey and bourbony with a nice roasty aftertaste. Not a whole lot of coffee or vanilla, but tastes pleasant. 4.5

M - right amount of carbonation and thickness. Not syrupy, but thick. Clean, but you remember having it with some lingering stickiness. 5

O - pleasantly surprised. Everything good about Bourbon barrel aged Imperial Stouts. Strong on bourbon and roastiness, without the frills of sugary cake flavors or molasses and bacon maple bullshit. 4.5
