Imperial IPA, not as hoppy as I though it would be considering Vox Populi's other IPA. Not bad at all, but nothing exceptional.

Golden color with off-white head. Aroma is somehow dank, earthy, not really estery but yeasty. Taste starts sweet and yeasty, quite stale and musty. Not really my type of beer.

Can: Poured a hazy orangey color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some good amount of lacing. Aroma of residual sugar notes with nice dry hoppy notes of light tropical fruits. Taste is also a mix of floral hoppy notes of citrus and tropical fruits which are well balanced against some sweet Belgian style malt. Body is full for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed with great level of complexity and good drinkability. My only point for improvement would be to increase attenuation level.

Cloudy golden in color with a small white head.

Intense grapefruit aroma. I can't smell anything else than grapefruits.

In the mouth you get different tastes, it's spicy and herbal, lots of fruity hops too. There's too much going on in every sense to really make enjoyable.

Like I said it's not really enjoyable, it's not bad by any means, you're just not sure about what taste the brewers were going for. It's a new beer so maybe it'll be better in the future.

Not a Tripel in any sense of the style IMO. Tasty and masked the alcohol well, but hopped up unbelievably. Best to call this a Belgian Blonde or something. Lot's of hop aroma and flavour with little phenolics and went down way too easy. Good stuff.

A nice easy pour yields a one inch head with sticky lacing as I drink. Nose is very interesting with candied pineapple, candied orange, candied lime, candied lemon, pine sap, and an aspect of perfume of some sort. Taste doesn't quite live up to the nose, but nice in its own right with the hop bitterness weaving in and out of the sweetness of residual sugars. Feel is adequate. Overall, I don't think this is a Tripel, but it is enjoyable and would have another.

Golden color with good foam. Smell citrusy, with some grapes (white wine), along with tropical fruits and some yeast spicyness, candied fruits, pineapples.. The taste is very much like the aromas: white wine, tropical fruits, some citrus, a great yeast spicyness and some other fruits. We don't feel the 10% ABV at all! The malt comes through pretty well too, balanced by the fruity and spicy belgian yeast. A great beer!

Beautiful old gold appearance, clean. White, creamy, beautiful head.
In the smell yellow fruit (peach, apricot), some honey, and then a good, relatively fresh herbal note, with camomile hints.
Fruitiness in the taste too, but not too much. A good amount of hop gives it a bitterness for a relatively good drinkability.
Well, the alcohol is here.
Quite bitter aftertaste, alcohol.
Not bad, drinkable, nothing exceptional.

A:
Pours a hazy, flat amber with finger+ of soapy dirty white head that pops down to a scummy ring. Barely any lacing or retention. (3.5)

S:
Fruity, pungent hop punch. Mango, green pineapple, intermingled fruity esters, loads of caramel, orange, pine sap, hard water/dirty rag. (3.75)

T:
Doughy, fruity, hint of spice, sweet. Tropical fruits followed by hearty malt sweetness (caramelized sugar), some vague white pepper hints from the yeast. Not much else, just sweet. (3.75)

M:
Big, sweet beer with light carbonation; medium+ body and a lingering sugary/boozy finish with a slight warmth in the finish. (3.75)

O:
This is a decent beer as far as that goes.
It was not really what I was expecting. The first thing I noticed was the big, hoppy nose. The second was how sweet it is. I don't know if it is from residual sugars, but if it is, I wonder how much over 10% it'd be if they were all fermented.
It's not terrible, but it is pretty overpowering of anything Tripel-like. The aroma is fruity and a little dank. The flavor is just sweet with a little fruitiness. There are some hops giving this sweetness, but there is a big sugary (caramel malt- tasting) component as well that carries through into the aftertaste.
My main gripe here is that this is basically a double IPA with belgian yeast and the sweetness of a sweet tripel. However, even then all that comes through is hops (aroma) and sweet (flavor).
I think that with a little more spicy yeast flavors/smells and a more tripel-like look/feel it would be way better. To me at least. (3.5)
