Notes:
Brewed specially for our friends Rebelution, Take On Anything IPA is bursting with hoppy goodness - something we at The Hop Concept have been known to do. This ale begins with big aromas of freshly grated lemon peel and floral citrus from the Centennial hops, paired with hints of mango and pine from the Mosaic hops, and finishes with a crisp bite.

Covering all their bases from floral to fruity, from juicy to bitter, from botanical to flowery, The Hop Concept's IPA is certainly built to take on anything.
And a beer by that name kicks off with a glowing firm straw color and capped with a stark white pillow of froth. As a peppery, citrusy, herbal and juicy scent rolls from the rim, the aromas are nearly tangy with under ripened fruits and a pungent herbal perfume. Sweeter on the tongue, hints of agave, angel food cake and wafer set the tone for a maliter upstart in taste.
As Take On Anything rolls along the middle palate, the sweetness retreats and the hops take center stage. A bold display of lemon, white grapefruit and under ripened orange rise first with a quick followup of passionfruit, papaya and younger mangoes. Trending spicy with a racy lime accent, the late taste is of black tea, peppercorn, arugula and cannabis in a final turn toward bitterness.
Medium bodied and lingering with a melon-like juiciness, the IPA finishes spicy with botanical grasses, herbs and botanicals with a leafy tannin-like bite along with the deeply resinous bitterness for an elevated hop spice and a long linger of hemp, berry skins and pungent greens.

Color is clear and copper color. Head was fast and furious, white as can be. Nose is lemon zest. Taste is piney goodness. Very good bitterness initial and across the palate as it fades.

On the edge of… yeah, it’s tough. Could I ever? And how much would it hurt if I try but fail? How much I want to be vs how much that is…I want to breathe easily, yet I still find myself choking on certain breaths. I love and I want to live, but I am faced with my own denial… one day, they say. One day.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a tulip glass.
Look- Medium gold, slightly hazy, visible small particulates, sudsy white head, average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Pine resin, citrus, dank.
Taste- Watery mild flavor, pine resin, herbaceous, slightly bready finish.
Feel- Thin body, astringent, high bitterness, prickly, semi dry finish.
Overall- The flavor was pretty good, but way to subtle.

Interesting IPA, very light but also very bitter. It promises pine and I didn't really get that. Def get a strong citrus taste. The feel is very light and dry. Overall it's a light but flavorful IPA but a little flat. None of the flavors really shine. I'll buy it again but it's def not one I'd get every time.

Rebelution, a reggae band, is the first word on the label. Handsome clear golden amber with rings of foam in the pint shaker. Tangy, sudsy, and a little acidic in the mouth. Light body. Wonderful aroma of lemon and fresh pine. I would guess it's Lemon Drop, but hops are listed as Centennial and Mosaic. Very citrusy taste with orange finish, but so much better than the juicy, milkshake concoctions of the hazies.
Moderate bitter aftertaste gives the right balance to the fruit. Overall it's a refreshing and clean hoppy brew. From the 16 oz can purchased at Healthy Spirits in San Francisco. Bottom of can says "freshest by 03/12/2020."

9-22-2019 - Cute little half pour in San Marcos. I love the band (and THC) so this collaboration is perfect. I need more of both back east. Light straw color with dissipating white head. I should have started with this crisp, refreshing 6.7%er and then gone to the Citrus and Piney. No bottles available. Hashtagfreerein.

Light copper and clean filtered with moderate carbonation and a skin of white head.
Smells of caramel, pine, skunk and pineapple.
Tastes of pine, skunk, pineapple, grapefruit pith, with a lingering bitterness.
Medium body with lots of carbonation.
I got this in Redding where I am enjoying it, March 7th, 2019. Very well done brew.

Not a whole lot of aroma. Some citrus zest, some pine. Flavors of citrus peel like grapefruit and lemon zest. Definitely very bitter. Dank as well. The bitterness lingers but the flavors fade pretty quickly. Lasting bitterness gives it a crisp feel, ready for the next sip. Easy to drink.
