On-tap at the brewery itself in Big Bear Lake, on to the beer:

This beer has a muddy look to its yellow-orange color. It leaves spotty lace that does a fine job clinging around the glass. Here is a clean smelling hefeweizen, although it is worth noting that an American yeast is used instead of the more traditional Bavarian yeast. It smells clean with just a dash of banana and wheat.

Taste is a little more upfront, although still relatively light in intensity. It tastes of pastry dough at first, before a kiss of clove and banana jazz it up. There is a note of honey as well. It is a light bodied beer and really easy to drink. I would say that this is a small notch above Pyramid Hefeweizen, if you want a comparison.

Tasted at brewery on 1 Nov 15. No faults, cleanly made, but very low wheat character and no Hefeweizen yeast character. Even for an American hefe this is very bland.
