Pours very dark brown but still has some clarity. Medium head with average retention that leaves a few bits of lace. Nose is sort of nutty, but more of a stinky sweaty foot smell. It is borderline revolting. Compared to a beer like Yellow Belly, this is terrible so far. Taste is initially like a watery flavored stout, but is followed by another off flavor. Getting hard to drink this at all by the third sip. Mouthfeel is watery. Overall, my worst beer of 2017. Probably not fair to compare to a world class beer like Yellow Belly, but this is really bad. Couldn't finish the can.

This is is like a cross between Sweet Baby Jesus meets Duck Rabbit Milk Stout. Very creamy and and lots of peanut butter flavor.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of roasted malts. Taste is roasted malts, light chocolate. There is very little peanut butter in the flavor or aroma. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall it ain't bad, but lacks the peanut butter in the name.

One of my favorite beers. I thought it might be strange due to the peanut butter taste, but it was really delicious.

Had in Nashville on nitro tap. Very strong peanut butter. Sweet but not overly sweet. For me it could actually have been more sweet as it kind of seems like desert in a glass. Very good.

Very dark within a PBGC Sauvin glass after a dark chocolate pour. A beige head flashes over the top, only to form a thin, tight ring of fine bubbles.
Dark roasted peanut butter immediately draws memories of home-made chunky peanut butter. This aroma is very dramatic, however, it is only one note. The background has a sweet, malty aroma that is very faint.
Okay, I get it. This is a peanut butter beer. Still there should be something to contrast the primary flavor, especially given that the one note is a bit astringent. Perhaps there is some lactic sweetness showing up with warmth. Whatever sweetness there is comes far too late and is far too subtle. The finish is unpleasant and lingering, with roasted malt far out of balance.
A medium body and nylon texture. Alcohol seems more present than expected. The carbonation is about right, just short of fizzy. The astringency is truly unfortunate.
This is a rough beer. If one likes a ton of dark roasted, borderline burnt, peanuts, then this may be just right for you. All said, this is not a bad beer. It would be more appropriate to say it over-delivers on novelty and ornamentation at the expense of fundamental basics. I finished this one while reading and watching a winter wonderland outside.

Tailgate Peanut Butter Milk Stout has a thick, tan head, a dark brown appearance, and fairly extensive lacing. The aroma is of pretzel, peanut butter, cream, and roasted malt. Mouthfeel is medium, and Tailgate Peanut Butter Milk Stout finishes mostly dry.
