Soo hard on how to evaluate my thoughts on this place (first visit.) I'll start with the easy stuff. Great selection. Actually didn't know where to start when I got there and just looking at the exceptional draft list, then the bottles. The next high point was the location and atmosphere. Right on the pier, though the marina blocks your view of the ocean, the walk to the place was nice. The dive beach bar vibe was excellent in my books. My gripe though was with the service. The girl behind the bar was highly uneducated and I counted at least ten obviously wrong statements she made about beers or styles, after the first few I gave up on correcting as I picked up that she didn't really care either way. Very disappointing. There was a five minute argument with her trying to convince me that Triple Karmeliet was a Trappist beer, she didn't want to hear otherwise. I would give a lower service score but it was saved as we ended up hanging out with the owner whom starting bringing us brews while in the middle of his construction project. He even walked me back to the cooler, very cool guy. Visit would have been worlds better if someone that cared about the beer was behind the bar. Eh, oh well.

One of the best bars I have been to in terms of craft beer selection. Unbelievable actually. Service is not the best, but the location and selection is fantastic.

Good place for a non-drinker to take their beer connoisseur friends from Pariguay.

Selection should be a 6.0 for this place. Best beer joint in the state.

Went during LABW for the FSW tapping event they had. Waited 3 hours in a overly crowded dive bar that had reggae music blasting so loud I could barely have a conversation with the people I was with. The lines were long and apparently they couldnt figure out how to tap the special beer that day. I went back n forth about 10 times constantly kept asking while in a line just to try the beer and one the guys just kept telling me "Bro, youll know its tapped when we announce it"..Well I gave up and on my way out of leaving, find out they tapped the beer and told no one..how thoughtful of you guys seriously. I got what was left in a pitcher prolly half a pints worth and it wasnt worth the hassle. I will not be coming back here for any event they have.

Stopped by a few beers while in Torrance on business.

Had a blast! Great beer selection, though they said it was down due to preparing for the an upcoming beer fest. Live band on the inside; the harbor, beautiful sunny day and fishing boats right outside the windows. Grabbed a Port Swami to begin with, then asked the boys behind the bar what I would like that I couldn't get at home similar to the Sculpin and Wesy Coast IPA they also had on the board. He said Dirt Wolf not knowing I was from PA!

Low and behold they had Pliney!! Was not listed on the board, but they readily volunteered it. Made my day!

A must see...

It's really hard to rate this place. The selection is obviously incredible and the best around hands down. But the crowd/atmosphere is not so great and seemingly not there for the ridiculous beer selection. I prefer going when it's less crowded so I can just chill out and really enjoy what I'm tasting.

Dingy old feel, I was the youngest person in there, best beer selection in south bay. Must go.

Very few women, however very few attractive women are into craft beer so that is a push.

Right on the water enjoy a nice ocean breeze, weekends have live music from a fun garage band.
