L: on tap in Munich. Gives a yellow cloudy color with a huge top of creamy head that disolves slowly. Thick lacings on the glass.

S: banana, lemon, yeast, cloves and peppercorn.

T&F: follows the nose for the most part, banana sweetness with some spicy cloves in the back.spices and lemon in the finish with a dry long aftertaste.a good spicy mouthfeel on the flavour.creamy and clean mouthfeel.

O: a great and tasty hefeweizen, this is a good bavarian example of the style. Would sure try it again. One of the better one out there.

11.2oz bottle, it's been a few years since I had this one, but I remember it being good
A - very cloudy yellow ale with fluffy white head that holds good retention
S - wheat, banana, clove, yeast, and a hint of lemon; typical traditional hefeweizen aroma
T - great balance between banana & clovey yeast esters, cracked wheat, lemony & earthy hops
M - light bodied, but nice and creamy
O - great example of a traditional German Hefeweizen. Always recommendable and always delicious. This is a top notch German brewery.

Pours lighter colored than other Hefeweizens with a 2 finger head.

Aromas of banana, clove, lemon, and baked malts.

Flavor is a little more washed out than I'd like, but all the elements are there. Bread crusts, citronella, banana, water, clove, yeast.

Feel is also lighter than expected but that's a welcome guest here. Carbonated, light creaminess. Semi-dryness on the finish.

Overall, a solid Hefe. I'd do it again, but it's not particularly memorable.

Look: Cloudy light orange-yellow with a big white head (though I poured it a little more quickly than I meant to)

Smell: Hints of citrus and perhaps a little caramel overshadowed by yeast, bread

Taste: Very yeasty, similar to pretzel wheat; very clean; a bit of lemon aftertaste

Feel: Regular carbonation, dry aftertaste

Overall: A solid beer, though I feel like I'm missing something. It tastes very plain to me. There's nothing *wrong* with it, but I wouldn't say it's all that great either. Not sure I understand the high overall rating, but that's just my opinion.

L - gold body, no head
S - yeast, lemon zest, bready
T - lemon, cost rosy, bready/biscuity with a tart bland after taste
F - slight carbonation, light coat of palate
O - very disappointing German Hefeweizen. No banana flavor what so ever with a weird after taste. No head at all. This is nothing like the German hefe's I have enjoyed in the past. Hefe's are my favorite style of beer so I'm very critiquel. Maybe I got an old one. This was disappointing.
