Poured from the half liter bottle into a small sampling glass. A semi-aggressive pour produces a one inch snowy white head that dissipates fairly quickly. The beer is a slightly hazy pale straw color, with lively carbonation.

The aroma-flavor is pleasantly funky and showcases citrus, banana and spice. Snappy crisp on the finish and tingly on the tongue. This would make a lovely session beer on a hot day.

Another excellent German import at a reasonable price. This bottle was purchased for $3.49 at Front Street Market in Butte, Montana.

Poured from 11.2 ounce bottle into pint glass. Beautiful cloudy yellow color, with nice 3 finger head. Hint of a fruity/banana aroma on the nose. Smooth, light creamy feel, with nice finish. Leaves light lacing on glassware.
All in all, a well crafted Heft Weizen!

A typical unfiltered spicy and banana wheat. Smooth and creamy mouth feel even though highly cabonated. Slight hop bitterness but generally a balanced brew.

L: on tap in Munich. Gives a yellow cloudy color with a huge top of creamy head that disolves slowly. Thick lacings on the glass.

S: banana, lemon, yeast, cloves and peppercorn.

T&F: follows the nose for the most part, banana sweetness with some spicy cloves in the back.spices and lemon in the finish with a dry long aftertaste.a good spicy mouthfeel on the flavour.creamy and clean mouthfeel.

O: a great and tasty hefeweizen, this is a good bavarian example of the style. Would sure try it again. One of the better one out there.
