Presentation: Poured from a 12oz brown bottle into a standard pint glass. The label depicts an angelic female raising a glass of beer above her head. Also list original gravity as 13 degrees P.
Appearance: Pours with 3/8 of an inch of very light tan, creamy head. This settles quickly into just a thin coating on the beer. The beer itself is a brilliant red. The head leaves nice lacing as the beer goes down.
Smell: Strong aroma of sweet, caramelized, malts. Slight undertone of hop bitterness.
Taste: Lots of upfront hop bitterness, mixed with caramel malt. Finishes with a slight sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Average carbonation level. Great, full body.
Drinkability: I have to admit, I am usually not a huge fan of this style group, but this is a nice full flavored beer that I could have mor eof.

My favorite red ale still in production, since Rad Red isn't being made any more. This is one of few beers I like just as well on tap, in a bottle, or a glass.
It has an excellent color and aroma, good malt flavor, and just enough hops to keep it from being bland without overloading the malt.
