Very Good
Twist Of CaneTwist Of Cane
Notes: Brewed with Fresh-pressed Florida Sugar Cane, this DIPA is a nice balance between malty, hoppy, and dry with a perceived sweetness and mouthfeel!

Reviewed from notes, a few months old. Poured from a 12 oz. can into an Upland Brewing pint glass.

A: Hazy dark gold, a good bit of visible carbonation and a two-finger white head with good retention, especially for style.

S: Bready malts, mild caramel character. Resinous and bitter grapefruit pith hops.

T: Follows the nose. Bready malts, sticky resin, and mild toasted caramel sweetness. Some grapefruit hops and some ethanol sweetness. A floral hoppy bitterness shows up at the end with more malt sweetness.

M: Body is average to a bit heavy for style. Good levels of carbonation sensation, and the alcohol is warming but not obnoxious.

O: Not a terrible DIPA, made a bit more appealing since it's available in a can. But this isn't my preferred approach to the style, and while there's a good punch of hop bitterness the hop flavors are missing. There's no date on the can, though my local shop had JUST gotten this in...and since it's in the state, I'm going assume it's fairly fresh. Ultimately forgettable.

Packs a punch. Grabbed this on a whim to try a few local beers while in Orlando and was pleasantly surprised. Good punch of hops but a nice sweetness along with it. If I was driving I'd take some home with me.
