Malty with a hint of toffee balanced with very evident hop and followed by a clean finish.

This is a very bland beer
Four finger head, ruby red in color
Heavy carbonation
Smells: minerals, grain, and hops
Taste: malt, biscuity, toasty, hoppy, with a warming finish
Mouthfeel: moderate
Overall, this is a forgettable beer from a good brewery. Try the traditional ale.

Review from notes. 6 oz taster sample on tap enjoyed at Rib Eye Jack's in Burlington.
Appearance - Clear amber color with minimal head and lacing. A little visible carbonation in the glass.
Smell - Mild dark fruit aroma with some malt presence in behind.
Taste - Pretty much like the nose, although subdued significantly, the mild fruit aspect is ramped up a bit. but overall the taste is more subdued than the nose. A bit thin.
Mouthfeel - Soft body with just enough carbonation, a little on thin side.
Overall - An agreeable enough English ale that could be enjoyed in many pints over the course of the afternoon.

Light brown pour, beige head, 1/2" thin. Aroma was not much, toffee malt.
Easy drinking, stronger/better than Newcastle kind of brown ale. Smooth. Malt forward. Not sweet, 4/10 carbonation level. Average stuff.

Clear Dark amber in colour with a one finger head that dissipates quickly and small lacing.
Sweet smell with a flora perfume.
Taste does not quite meet up with the smell here with a more caramel malt taste but lacks a lot of uniqueness
Crisp and slightly chewy. Smooth but leaves you with nothing there in the aftertaste to remember it by.
Overall considering its has room for improvement and seems to get a tough rep I quite enjoyed it.

Not much head. Nose is amaretto and a hint of caramel. Too crisp for an English Ale.
