Poured from a standard 473 ml Canadian pint can. It's definitely a good single hop beer. The citrus flavor is noticeable, but I found this to have a fairly bitter taste. The can said enjoy by 7/12/18, which means it was on the old side ("expiring" this week). That could have increased the bitterness, obviously.

Got this at the LCBO this past summer
From a 16oz can into a snifter
IBU: 67
Best Before 18 October 2018
APPEARANCE: Pours a small, one finger, medium looking, creamy, off-white head with good retention. Hazy, opaque burnt orange or rust in color with no carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a faint wisp and ring. Splotchy wisp remains until the end leaving dots of lacing down the glass. Definitely darker for the style.
SMELL: Melon, caramel notes, lemon citrus aromas and some grapefruit on the nose. Medium strength.
TASTE: Caramel and toffee sweetness up front with some grapefruit notes, bready malts and bitterness at the swallow. A bold and lingering finish of bready malts, caramel sweetness and straight hop bitterness. Not much in terms of fruit or hop character.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy and smooth on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes drier. Some decent bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Meh. This is definitely missing that hop character in the flavor department. The nose is decent but in terms of flavor, this is not all that impressive. It’s still well-within the best by date, but perhaps it’s more impressive straight off the line. In any case, not something worth running back to.

Amber orange and cloudy with lots of floating particles. Topped with 1 finger of off white head.
Smells of oranges, caramel, and hints of pine.
Tastes of pine and oranges, with malt, caramel, and grapefruit pith. A solid bitterness on the end.
Medium body, resinous, with a moderate carbonation.
Really good, solid and robustly flavourful IPA. Drinking at the lake in Muskoka, Dec 10th, 2017.

It's okay. Little hop flavor or aroma--which are Citra's strong points.
