I brought a can of this back whilst in the Toronto area for work. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had hints of biscuit. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink.....very similar to European adjunct lagers. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was decent.

One cannot really expect much from a lager, but this is below expectations. Supposedly it won three gold medals and I can't help but wonder as to how sub-par the competition was.
The nose starts out decent, becoming skunkier while sitting in the glass. The taste is flat and distant. There is absolutly nothing in this beer to cheer for and I can't think of one reason I would go back to it.
As it is, I received a Cameron's variety 4-pack as a gift. This was the first I have tried and now I am kind of worried...

Nothing offensive here, a clean crisp lager that boasts a solid flavour profile of biscuits, toasted grains, and hints of grassy hops. Easily sessionable... A good lawnmower beer.

Very crisp and refined lager. Great brew for the summer months. As in the description, it's not overly hoppy, but has lots of flavour. Canned from the LCBO.

Purchased at the LCBO for just under the $3.00 mark for a 473ml can. Served at 8deg C in a draught glass.

A- Opens well and pours a nice 1" high white head that is gone in a minute or so. Medium gold colour and filtered clear.

S- A touch lacking. Was hoping for more noble hops here but nope.

T- Very good. Malt abounds. Very enjoyable. The balance between sweet and hop to malt is just right. Very flavorful.

M- Very good and mellow but a touch watery

O- I like it. Will buy again for sure. The oak at the end is just what it needs.

Food Pairing

This wonderful brew went well with.... Fried green tomatoes. Msg me for the long recipe.

Enjoy!

Re-review. Had previously given this a 3. 341 ml bottle served cold into a pint glass. part of the seasonal taster's pack.

Appearance - Nice, pale golden colored beer is poured, Yielded a finger of the fluffy white stuff on top with respectable carbonation throughout Decent retention and picture perfect clarity.

Smell - Fairly grainy with some malty sweetness. Not much other than that. Overall a pretty good nose for the style.

Taste - clean, clear and crisp with lots of sweet grainy notes throughout. Not quite enough bitterness to counterbalance the sweet flavors. Mineral water, coarse grain and corn sweetness are the predominant flavors.

Mouthfeel - Clean crisp, a little fizzy, and a light-ish body.

Overall - Solid for the style and solid beer overall. Eminently drinkable. Work a shot and a couple notches better than the macro swill.
