A good sessional IPA.
Bought at a Rome bottle shop (Will Brexit make English beers more expensive on the continent?)
Looks a hazy amber with a decent head and some lace. Smells bring on mostly citrus fruit and, then, sweet malt. Tastes also are well-balanced until the end with no bitter after-taste... but also not distinguished. Finishes dry.
Paired well with a mild ramen

My first from Mondo, I went on their website and they have an interesting story. Two Americans got together 4 years ago and start brewing in Battersea, London's newest hot neighborhood south of the Thames. They are still young, but having fun and growing and contributing to an impressive ale scene in London. Glad I tried Mondo and hope to go back and try their taproom.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of March 2018. Acquired a while back from a webshop. Described on the label as a session IPA hopped with Amarillo, Mosaic and Simcoe. The ingredients include lactose.

A: Poured into an IPA glass. Bottle conditioned. A hazy amber colour with plentiful floating sediment and intense carbonation. Yields a huge head of fluffy white foam with good retention; this slowly reduces to a persistent surface layer. Some lacing.

S: Aroma of sharp fruity hops with hints of clementine, citrus zest, peel, tropical fruit, white grape, mild stone fruit, caramel malt, faint barley sugar and ale yeast. Possesses a tinge of sourness. Slightly muddled but pretty good.

T: Tastes of fruity hops with notes of lemon/lime, zesty citrus, peel, mild tropical fruit, white grape, caramel malt, ale yeast and earthiness. Dry, followed by a crisp hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with lively carbonation and good body for the strength. Slightly astringent. Aftertaste of fruity hops, mild citrus, bitterness, caramel malt and a lingering earthiness.

O: Pretty good though probably a tad faded. Looks nice, if overcarbonated. Aroma and flavour are predominantly fruity hops underpinned by caramel malt and ale yeast. Body is OK. Goes down readily enough; hop character could have better definition. Nice session IPA - worth sampling.
