This 120z. can started out very nice with two fingers of pure white chunky foam. It slipped away a bit rapidly, but did leave some nice lacing. The beer is a hazy straw color with plenty of carbonation.
The aroma is mostly citrus.
The taste follows the aroma, this seems not to be a very malty lager. The bitterness is low, slightly sweet, with a nice crisp finish.
The feel is slightly creamy, just above watery.
I think this is a simple beer, it tastes fine, easy do drink, but I miss the bread flavor of a lager.

Collab between Three Floyds and Mikkeller to create a new brewery in Chicago called WarPigs. I'd say this is more of a Helles than a Pale Lager but it's in the fruitier side with a very pleasant hop bill so it could go either way. Great color, aroma, and flavor. I dig it. Glad I made the decision on a whim. On tap at Clark Street Ale House in downtown Chicago.

12oz can, date stamped 11/21/17
Pale golden body with a frothy white head. Muted aroma with some citrus and grassy hops. For flavor: grassy hops meet citric hops with a neutral malt backbone, quite simplistic yet flavorful. Lighter side of medium for body, very clean finish. Very easy drinking beer here. I could easily drink a few of these.

Tap

Pours slightly hazy golden. White head retains well.

Smells of fresh grassy and cereal malts over citrus.

Flavor is of lemon citrus, crisp dry bread and cereal malts, and a lightly bitter grassy finish.

Light to medium body, light tingly carbonation on the tongue.

Decent sessionable lager, bright and summery. Flavors are pretty good. Worth trying.

Mild haze to the golden color, scattered lazy bubbles. The head is a bright white, crests close to two fingers but extremely airy with no persistence. The nose is grainy with cracker, peppercorn, corn syrup, then turns metallic, on the whole nothing unexpected. Feels dense in the mouth, carbonation moderate at best, no real lift off the palate. Any initial hoppy bite smoothed out by the creamier malts. Again, more raw graininess than breadiness, retains the metallic bitterness. Touch of peach fruit flavors followed on by notes of cocoa and caramel. Nice enough but ultimately uncompelling. (Canned 4/12/19)

Salmon pants pours a translucent light orange in color with a big, soapy white head. The beer drinks like an old world lager with aromas and flavors of dry, earthy, grassy, and spicy hops. There's a touch of fruit but I appreciate the spiciness. It has a noble feel to it.

Slight hop haze, golden straw color, white head. Aromas are grassy hops, lemongrass, and an ever so slight citrus aroma.

Taste is split equally between the grassy notes and the lemongrass. This is the poster child for “lawnmower beer,” IMHO.

If you want a hop bomb or an ABV bomb, look elsewhere. If you want a great lager, you have found it.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a Three Floyds pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright golden orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a solid finger of white head that settles into a thin creamy layer.

Smell: A crisp and well balanced aroma of juicy hops and malt. Good hop presence with citrus hints of orange, grapefruit, and lemon. Hints of earthy hops. Malt scent of biscuit, grains, cracker, and caramel with some lager yeast. A very nice aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a crisp and balanced lager taste with good notes of juicy hops and biscuit malt. Citrus hop notes of orange, lemon, and slight grapefruit. Some earthy hops as well. Malt notes of biscuit, cracker, grains, and caramel along with lager yeast. A pretty nice taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp and very smooth.

Overall: A very good Lager. Good hop presence with a good malt balance.
