12 oz. single picked up by this new brewery jumping into the Twin Cities market. Dank, hazy, more buzzwords than a two hour H.R. training session. Good lord, I don’t miss those!

The pour is – clear, golden. Does the word “haze” on the can not mean what I think it means? Plenty of foam. Nose is light, but citrus makes up most of it, with spare fruitiness & lemon mucking up the nose hairs. Pretty tame.

Foggy Geezer was canned 9/18/17 & yes, I just checked, because it tastes like a 2016 IPA. The fruitiness, which might be mango or a related skinned thing, has been liberally mixed with swamp gas, ground up aspirin, & harsh, bitter citrus. Mouthfeel would be…something, but I can’t say much after just a few sips. As drinkable as a glass of water somebody slipped some anti-bacterial soap in.

Just glanced down the reviews & either I got a bad can or there’s a bad case of mass hallucination sweeping the globe. This is awful. So glad I didn’t grab a six pack.

Can shared by Señor Miller.

Clear orange body with a thin collar. Aromas of malt, pine, alcohol. Similar flavor. Balanced. Low carbonation with mild sweetness. Eh...

Misc.: Collaboration between WarPigs. 3 Floyds and Mikkeller; Canned on Oct. 4, 2017

Thanks, Chad!

Got this as part of a nice haul from Chad on his latest work trip to San Diego. Was a hazy IPA collaboration between 3 Floyds (great), Mikkeller (slightly overrated) and WarPigs (only knew the song War Pigs by Black Sabbath). Front of the can called it, “A super fruity and dank WarPigs hazy IPA forged in collaboration between Three Floyd’s and Mikkeller.” Let’s do this.

Poured a straw hazy color with one finger of off-white fizzy head. Calm serene setting underneath with no noticeable bubbles. Average watery lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.25)

Smelled orange juice, pineapple, white grapefruit, nectarine, lemon and citrus zest. Maybe the addition of mango and guava from the nose. Certainly and upgrade from the glass pour. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted not quite as good as the nose. A lot going on here. Got no pulp orange juice, grapefruit, pineapple, mandarin orange, bitter mango rind, citrus zest, passion fruit and light guava. (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75)

A very good New England Style beer, although I overrated slightly. (Overall - 3.75)

Canned 09-14-17

No haze at all on this one, so not as advertised. Smooth, soft, and delicious nonetheless. Hops aren't overbrearing here. Just a nice and easy brew.

Poured 12oz can into snifter. An amber orange with a bit of haze and 1.5 finger white head that fades into a thin cap. A very hop forward aroma with a scent of citrus and pine. Big citrus hop scent of grapefruit, orange peel, mango, tangerine, and lemon with some pineapple. A light malt of caramel and touch of honey. Flavor is juicy and earthy hop with notes of citrus and pine. Upfront juicy citrus hop notes of grapefruit, orange peel, tangerine, mango, and lemon with some pineapple that settles with some light caramel malt. Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation and a bitter dry finish. It's a well made IPA.
