an absolutely delicious ipa here, only the second beer from these guys i have seen at all, but a hugely better beer than the flagship ipa that has circulated. this is a bigger beer, stronger and far hoppier, even more dry hoppy too, with a bursting juice complexion to it that screams pineapple and tangerine or mandarin at me, lemongrass and even raw coconut. they dont tell us which hops theyve used, but i would think some combination of southern hemisphere varietals has to be at play here, with this level of tropical fruit and white grape happening, i would be surprised if something from that part of the world wasnt leading the charge. the malt base is light in flavor but there is quite a bit of body here, and a crispness which i find awesome, extremely uncommon in the east coast style ipa, they seem to carry on forever most of the time, but this one resolves abruptly on the finish, this intensely fruity drift is arrested immediately on the swallow, and only a light wash of mango and bitterness creeps back in, its a great way to wrap this up. the fruitiness of the hops here is second to none, it tastes super fresh which i imagine is critical for this tasting so good, and it retains some west coast character with its hop intensity and oily feel. really great glass of ipa, i wish this was available in colorado!

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 12/12/2017. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, honey, white bread dough, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, honey, white bread dough, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, herbal, floral, grassy, zesty bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, honey, white bread dough, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is a very nice NEIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Great soft feel for the style. Very juicy and lightly dank hop complexity; with a balanced bready malt backbone. Not overly sweet/heavy. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Held up well considering the can dating.

White head. Clear golden yellow. No haze at all. Not sure how they can possibly call this a hazy ne ipa.

If they just called this an ipa, I would be much happier. It is good and I do like it, I just don't like how it is marketed. Grapefruit, pineapple, mango. Floral and piney hops. Earthy and citrusy. Bready malts. A touch of booze shows. Medium bodied. Almost should be classified as a dipa.

I'm trying this at Monks Pub in Chicago. It poured a hazy yellow with white head that is a nice ring lace. The scent had hints of citrus peel. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tropical peel base. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's an excellent beer!

Tasted in a tulip from draft at Kuma's Corner on August 17, 2017. Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 oz can on September 2, 2017. A nice interpretation of the style.

Can shared by Señor Miller.

Clear orange body with a thin collar. Aromas of malt, pine, alcohol. Similar flavor. Balanced. Low carbonation with mild sweetness. Eh...

A - Medium gold colored pour with a generous amount of "floaties" suspended in the beer.

S - Bright citrus aroma with juicy grapefruit, tangerine, nectarine and with a dank, sticky aroma.

T - Follows the nose with resiny and dank citrus from start to finish: nectarine, papaya, red grapefruit, tangerine, and all with very mild spiciness/tropical fruit rind.

M - Heavy and full bodied with velvety texture, no carbonation presence and very dry on top of the tongue.

O - This was a pleasant and unexpected find. Worth the money and better yet, is sold in six packs as opposed to four. (12 oz cans) The ABV is completely hidden in this beer.

12oz can, brewed about one week ago, served in a willi becher glass. Pours a more or less clear golden yellow body, one finger thick white head, fair retention, lots of lacing. Smell is rich lemon peel, a bit of grapefruit, minimal caramel, touch of toffee sweetness, bit of lemon. Flavour is grapefruit, light caramel, zesty bitterness, touch of toffee, very light graininess, with a slight syrupy caramel bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, smooth with a mild zesty peel bitterness on the finish. Solid, nothing too spectacular.

L: A hazy gold liquid drops into the glass building a slightly frothy 1" white foam cap with fair retention

S: big hop aromas of a wet field, citrus, melon, fruit and a grassy herbal note

T: hits the tongue with layers of juicy fruit flavor with tropical, melon, pineapple, and citrus supported by a moderate malt backbone of primarily biscuit flavors

F: exceptionally creamy with a medium body and carbonation

O: an enjoyable, big flavored beer with an assertive bitterness mellowed by moderate malt and rich hop flavors
