L: A hazy gold liquid drops into the glass building a slightly frothy 1" white foam cap with fair retention

S: big hop aromas of a wet field, citrus, melon, fruit and a grassy herbal note

T: hits the tongue with layers of juicy fruit flavor with tropical, melon, pineapple, and citrus supported by a moderate malt backbone of primarily biscuit flavors

F: exceptionally creamy with a medium body and carbonation

O: an enjoyable, big flavored beer with an assertive bitterness mellowed by moderate malt and rich hop flavors

This had nice fruit notes of mango, nectarine and lemon with a back note of pine and a hint of booze. Slightly opaque but seems to lean toward Todd without the funk. Almost doesn't hit you like other DIPAs but this is worth seeking out.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a Three Floyds pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a hazy amber orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a solid finger of off white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A juicy and dank hop driven aroma with a scent of citrus and pine. Upfront citrus hop scent of orange peel, grapefruit, mango, melon, and lemon with pineapple. Earthy hop scent of pine resin and grass. Malt hints of caramel, grains, and cracker with yeast. A very nice juicy aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a very juicy and earthy hop driven taste with notes of citrus and pine. Big juicy citrus hop presence with notes of grapefruit, orange peel, mango, passion fruit, lemon, and melon along with pineapple. Earthy hop notes of pine resin and grass. Backing malt notes of caramel, grains, and cracker along with yeast. A pretty good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy, fairly oily, and drying.

Overall: A really good IPA. Big juicy citrus and pine notes with moderate bitterness and body.

12oz, canned 08/22/17. Thanks to my friend, Ken, for sharing his 6 pack with me.
Thick, creamy & foamy off-white head sits atop a very cloudy tangerine colored ale. Big aroma: passion fruit, pineapple, Mandarin orange, lemon, and lime zest. Tropical overtones rule the palate with notes of passion fruit, grapefruit, mango, lemon-lime zest, and Mandarin orange zest creating a zesty & tangy bitterness; wheat and biscuity malt fot a bit of sweetness. Fuller body, not overly bitter finish. Great east coast style non-filtered DIPA with fresh tropical hop notes! Looking forward to drinking more if these!

12 oz. single picked up by this new brewery jumping into the Twin Cities market. Dank, hazy, more buzzwords than a two hour H.R. training session. Good lord, I don’t miss those!

The pour is – clear, golden. Does the word “haze” on the can not mean what I think it means? Plenty of foam. Nose is light, but citrus makes up most of it, with spare fruitiness & lemon mucking up the nose hairs. Pretty tame.

Foggy Geezer was canned 9/18/17 & yes, I just checked, because it tastes like a 2016 IPA. The fruitiness, which might be mango or a related skinned thing, has been liberally mixed with swamp gas, ground up aspirin, & harsh, bitter citrus. Mouthfeel would be…something, but I can’t say much after just a few sips. As drinkable as a glass of water somebody slipped some anti-bacterial soap in.

Just glanced down the reviews & either I got a bad can or there’s a bad case of mass hallucination sweeping the globe. This is awful. So glad I didn’t grab a six pack.

I've been hunting this a bit, so when I came across it in the beer store and it was very fresh (canned 9/13/17), I grabbed it. Pour is a hazy golden color, with a foamy nearly white head.

Aromas are fruity, dank hops. Grapefruit, some berry notes, little malt presence.

The taste is pungent hops, with grapefruit, pineapple, and sweet berry notes coalescing in a hoptabulous frenzy that is absolutely poundable.

I don't know if Todd Hoag was involved in this, but it has his signature all over it - sharp hop bite and feel, with a sense of gravitas he brought to so many Surly beers. Love it.
