This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a semi-hazy yellow color with less than a finger’s worth of foamy white head that dissipated within less than forty seconds. No lacing was seen. The smell started off with a nice light sweet yeastiness rolling over top of a light coriander. Added sweet fresh grassiness proves a nice eloquent herbal-ness to balance. The taste was mainly sweet with the yeastiness balancing yet rolling underneath. A nice sweet to spicy semi-floral and grassy yeastiness strolls into the aftertaste and leads to a wet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a super sessionable quality about it. Carbonated nicely as a witbier, the sessionability on this is amazing. Overall, some may say this is watery, I say this is just a really sessionable witbier.

Somewhat hazy yellow color. Spice followed by a slight citrus aroma but it seemed not one particular item stood out or overpowered the other elements. Above average carbonation which added to the sort of sharp bite it had. Taste was identical to aroma with coriander being a bit prominent. This tastes similar to their mellow monk beer which I also liked a lot. The style also reminded me of their Berry Monk which had a lot of elements but meshed together in a way that not one element dominated . I would imagine this beer won't work for some people but I enjoyed it as I do most beer from weyerbacher.

Maybe it's because i had a hot day working outside and this just seemed to hit the spot. Or maybe, it's just a good brew.

Beautiful highlights of yellow are observed along with the distinctive haze that comes with a witbier. But some hazes turn me off whereas the haze on this one was strangely appealing. The odor was mostly coriander, not overpowering, and mixed with some spicy and citrus smells I can't quite point out. Anyway, it all works. On the tongue it is quite carbonated, too much for my taste and a bit astringent, but both are easily overlooked. I really enjoyed the sessionable taste, I wish I had more, I could easily down 3-4 of these in one sitting. Overall, this is another very good beer from a brewer that I am keeping my eye out for more offerings.

This was a great beer and right up my alley. If I have more than one then I know its a beer for me. It was nice and light with some interesting flavors of spice, maybe coriander. I would carry this again as it sold well for us.

This witbier from Weyerbacher pours to a brief-lived, medium creamy white head on an effervescent, hazy-cloudy palish-straw body; lacing is scant, consisting of fast-retreating swoops and blotches. The nose is light-medium in intensity: a fairly balanced blend of coriander, wheat and yeast, a more subdued lemon character and the slightest hint of alcohol on top. The palate is a light, tangy lemon flavor with subtle coriander and a slight yeast bite, all over a light, fairly murky, modestly caramelish wheat foundation. The finish is pretty clean, showing just a bit of lemon and light caramel, followed by a slight wheat aftertaste that is tinged with dark herbs and lasts a minute or two. The mouthfeel is lightish even for the light body, and the texture is medium-creamy and medium-peppery from the well-expressed carbonation. (12 oz bottle, 99 days after pkg)

Poured into a small narrow glass: color is straw gold, head is bright white with fine to medium sized bubbles with moderate lacing on the glass.

Smell is pleasant, nice wheat/biscuit upfront, then moderate clove/banana and hints of spice and orange, finish is a little grainy.

Taste is also good, nice wheat/biscuit/bread flavor then less prominent spice and yeast off flavors than expected. More graininess in the finish of the taste as well.

Mouthfeel is a bit sharp, maybe overcarbonated and somewhat crisp/biting on the tongue.

Overall, this beer looks and smells good but the flavor and mouthfeel are just a touch sharp and grainy for my preference in the style.
