Part of a mixed six pack at Adamstown Beverage, Adamstown, PA. Price unknown.
12oz bottle marked 09/27/16 09/27/18 at 42 degrees into a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Allowed to warm to 50 degrees.
Aroma - very solid initial aroma of roasted malt and chili peppers with some chocolate. As the beer warms, the odor fades.
Head tiny (Maximum one cm, controlled pour), medium brown, fizzy and dense. Rapidly diminishing to a one mm ring and small central “brown hole” formed by effervescence.
Lacing – none.
Body dark brown/black, opaque, effervescent.
Flavor – initially just a muddled mess. As the beer rests in my mouth, the pepper burn becomes obvious as does the coffee that wasn’t detected in the aroma. The cocoa flavor becomes noticeable. The cinnamon is so well blended as to be undetectable, at least to my palate. No hops, no alcohol, no diacetyl.
Palate medium, creamy, lively carbonation.
While I’m not a fan of chili pepper beers in general, this one has enough heat to be noticeable but not so much as to be obnoxious. Overall, a drinkable brew but not one which I’ll ever seek out again.
Appearance 3.75, Aroma 4, Flavor 3.75, Palate 4, Overall 3.5.

Appearance: A hard pour releases a short-lived tan film that quickly fades away; the liquid beneath is espresso colored; speckles of lacing linger for a bit, regardless
Smell: Chocolate molé, bringing aromatics of charred Guajillo pepper, chocolate and a hint of cinnamon
Taste: Chocolate forward with the smoky charred pepper flavors quickly emerging; modest heat (which is why I think of Guajillo) and some cinnamon in the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low carbonation; a bit flabby but they may be due to age
Overall: Even though this bottle is almost five years old and three years past the "Best by" date, it still brings a nice flavor profile with all of the adjuncts present in the mix

I think stakem threw this in as an extra, but I could be confused as to who threw this in. But it was appreciated.
Pours black. Doesn't make too much of a head, 1/6" beige. I liked the nose, chocolate, chile peppers, cinnamon, coffee and even a hint of smoke to it. Its all there and it is done in a pleasant smelling way.
The taste is equally good as well. Roasted malt, chocolate, cinnamon, coffee, still that hint of smoke. That's how you do it. Mouth feel is also equally good as it makes 11.3% decently enjoyable to drink. A lot of beers with chipotle peppers or whatnot would literally taste hot at this abv, but they found a way to make this relatively croooooshable. One thing this beer does that rivals anybody's creation is a beautiful marriage of chipotle and smokiness. Just done as well as anybody on Earth has ever done it in that regard.
You know I wouldn't mind having a bottle or two of this in the cellar in the future. Its a real solid beer I rarely hear any chatter about.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip.
Pours dark brown, nearly black, and opaque. The head is minimal and subsides very quickly. No lacing.
Aromas are complex and varied. Coffee, chocolate (dark and light) cinnamon, anise, chili peppers, smoke, char, vanilla, root beer. As the brew warms, the booze comes out, but not in a bad way.
The brew is initially sweet and spicy on the tip of the tongue. Chocolate (cocoa, fudge, cake batter, and milk) and cinnamon with a touch of chili at the outset. Coffee and char in midstream, with some molasses, brown bread, and a touch of dark fruit (dried cherry especially) and more cola/root beer notes. Vanilla, anise, and earthy goodness with some warming but fairly well-hidden booze for the ABV at the finish.
The brew is a bit thin yet sticky for the style.
This is a tasty brew that would have benefited from a little more astringency, such as a little more coffee or roasted notes. It comes off a little bit sweet and sticky; although it hides its ABV remarkably well.

Pours a brown so deep it looks black producing almost a full finger of short-lived, dense, mocha head that leaves a thin, small collar ring but no lace or surface cap. Clarity is low as bight light does not penetrate it deeply when shown into it in a dark room. If I use my imagination I can see ruby highlights. Tiny bubbles of effervescence rise and heavy particulates swirl on the fringes of this dark brew. Aroma is a deep Tootsie Roll/Hershey's Special Dark chocolate hybrid in a blend of roast, coffee, smoke, chili pepper and a spiciness unrelated to the pepper that must be the cinnamon. I can't detect any alcohol in the nose (this changes slightly as the brew warms). Taste is bittersweet and a little raw: reminiscent of dry, unsweetened cocoa powder held on the tongue blended with coffee, sugary dark fruit, sour/wild cherries, char/burnt bread, smoke, chili, cinnamon and alcohol, alcohol, alcohol. Did I mention alcohol on the pallet? The alcohol prominence is intense enough to be cloying and it's warmth wins the tug of war with the chilis. The chipotle peppers come through the most. This stuff has a bitter finish and aftertaste that has to be due to the alcohol and not any particular hop/s content. The bitterness declines to become almost sweet in the finish but reappears in the Tootsie Roll, dark fruit-like and spicy but short lived aftertaste which transitions rapidly to a slight, otherwise tasteless, bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy bodied with low-medium carbonation, creamy but slightly slick and a little chewy with a grainy, prickly heat/spice on the tongue. With that said it is thin for the style. Neither complex nor balanced for an Imperial stout. The mouth is a deep let down after the promise of the nose which may be the highlight of this beer. I generally sing the praises of this brewery, but Sunday Mole Stout disappoints me.

Pouring from a 12 oz. bottle into a PAA glass, this beer pours out with a slick blackness; like the original. However, this one forms a pinky worth of caramel colored bubbles for a crown. They unfortunately don’t stick around too long and don’t leave any lacing in their disappearing act. 4
The nose brings fudgey chocolate mixing with slight peppers, cinnamon and even thick vanilla bean sweetness. Coffee does show through, with a little less sweetness than the original. 3.75
The taste follows the nose well. Brings a thick chocolate that’s reminiscent of a chocolate tootsie pop and then transitions into a pepper and cinnamon sprinkle.Slightly roasty coffee shows itself in near the end. Almost what I would imagine those Mexican candy suckers are like, the ones coated in the cinnamon or peppers. 3.75
The mouthfeel is reminiscent to the original in the fact that the carbonation is low and makes it feel still. Nowhere near the booziness in this though, and even with some slight pepper tingle, it seems a lot more approachable. 4
Overall, I enjoyed this more than the original. I thought it was more balanced and didn’t have the lingering alcohol hit as a distraction. 3.75

Looks black as night. Smell makes my nose tingle as the chili peppers are very forward. I’m also getting a little coffee aroma. Taste is a little heavy and is strong and bitter like dry cocoa. Coffee is also strong and tastes over roasted- very bitter and tastes a little burned. I am getting the peppers but not too strongly. Cinnamon which I love, is barely present although advertised on the bottle. Mouthfeel is medium thick with medium carbonation. Overall a little dry for my taste but a decent effort and I generally like weyerbacher beers.

black with a brown head. Tastes like light roast coffee, Some creaminess, but not an unbelievable beer by any means. Drinkable, but nothing really special.

Bottled/BB: Sep-21-2016/Sep-21-2018 (Consumed Mar-13-2019)
It is relatively disappointing looking with a brief tan head and otherwise nothing. Looks like bubblin' crude in a glass. The aroma is lightly smoky with roast peppers, rubber, fireball candy. The taste follows with chocolatey, gloppy, vaguely astringent, spicy-sweet with some coffee. It is fairly full-bodied with moderate carbonation, some astringency and a sweet finish. This is an all right beer. I don't get the need for mole beers and am further convinced that none of these people have actually had real, honest-to-god mole before. It would not make a good beer in my mind and additionally this doesn't taste like mole. It's weird. What's weirder is that despite all of that this is not a bad beer. Yes, it is messy from all of the layers, but it's got a nice chocolatey character and a little cinnamon spice left in it. I am actually glad it is a little old, as I think it has probably mellowed considerably. Anyway, the nose is a touch vegetal, the chile body is not my favorite, it is a little "brown"with flavor, but it did the job and I did continue to reach for another sip.
