The regular Merry monks is quite good so when I found out it was aged on cranberries and orange peels I snagged up a single for around 3 bucks.
A - Pours a bit more red orange tint than the regular with a 1/4 inch of frothy head that pulls back to a mild ring.
S - Great smell lots of ginger and cranberries with some sweet malts and little hops.
T - Great mix of ginger to warming alcohol and cranberry berry goodness. Not very bitter orange peel and ABV is well concealed.
M - Compared to the regular version this is amazing not so much a Triple more of a berry flavors Belgium Pale ale. Medium bodied hides the ABV well.
Overall Merry Monks is somewhat forgettable but this beer is excellent love the cranberry and ginger mix!

Tap at the brewery
Very light fizzy head, no retention or lacing, hazy rosy reddish orange colour
Nose nice tart berry, a little of the frosted fermented cranberry aroma I remember as a kid, lots of tart berry, orange zest and ginger as well, tart red apple, faint Belgian phenols and booze
Taste Belgian spices up front, phenols, fruity esters, sweet candy malt, then the mild tart cranberries and other berry flavors, little orange zest and ginger mix with the phenol spices, tasty cranberry on the sticky slight flemmy finish
Mouth is med to fuller bod, nice fizzy carb, hint of warming booze
Overall I really like it but I'm mixed, the aroma was loaded with cranberry and fruit but very little beer, the taste was the opposite, great Belgian beer with mild cranberry and fruit background, but either way balanced nicely I guess

Another solid offering from a brewer that has rarely, if ever, disappointed...
Though it pours a decent head, it has no staying power and no lacing to mention and the coloration is orange-copperish that is both appealing and somewhat strange to my gaze. The smell was mostly boozy with a malty base, nothing that I really would gravitate towards, but not horrible either. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, carbonated but not overly, and had a slight astringent feel on the tongue. The taste was hid its boozy nature and was a robust and tangy flavor of cranberries and even some orange. I like this offering, not one of their best, but something to consider unique and worthy of a draw.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark copper color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of berries, grapes. Taste is grapes, alcohol, some cranberries, a bit of ginger. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer, but a bit boozy. I loved Merry Monks, but this beer doesn't measure up to that standard.

12 oz bottle purchased from the brewery, bottled on 10/26/17, best before 10/26/19.
Grapefruit colored, hazy body, with a large fluffy pinkish-white head.
Big, fruity, spicy aroma and flavor. The cranberry, orange, and ginger are all there. Lots of banana, tropical fruit, bubble gum, clove, and pepper too. A little heat on the back end from the alcohol. Dry and tart finish. Medium-full bodied. A unique beer with a lot going on. Very strong, I think a lower ABV version of this beer would make a great summer beer!
