A-Crystal clear, dark tan with an orange tinge. Head is off-white to light tan head.

S-aroam is mild biscuit malt with mild floral, herbal and citrrus hops.

T-Really nice. Biscuit malts up front, followed by a barage of hop flavors. Floral and herbal dominate, with citrus coming in later. On the tail of this hop flavor is a bit of nice caramel flavor. The bitterness comes in last and is not over the top. Tastes like nugget hops in here which I really enjoy, but who am I to say.

M-crisp, light to medium body. A little drying effect makes you want the next sip to quickly follow the previous.

D-up there, unforntunately I only have three.

12 oz bottle.

Big thanks go out to DrJay for including this as an extra in a BIF.

Pours a cloudy orange with copper tint..seams of lacing streak down the glass..
Aroma of fresh floral hops and bold citrus..some caramel malt seeping in as well..smells delicious.
Pine hoppiness up front ..fruity citrus (grapefruit & orange), with a sweet caramel malt backing...mmm..
Medium-bodied with a slightly oily texture.. hop resin slides around in the mouth well after each sip. Yeah, I could drink more of this.. definitely a solid brew from Weyerbacher.

On tap at The Drafting Room in Exton, PA on 9/21/08.

A - Clear light copper/dark amber body with the slightest bit of haze and half a finger of off-white head that quickly diminished into a patchy film and left decent lacing. Very minimal amount of slow-rising carbonation bubbles.

S - Wet hopped aroma with a hefty dose of caramel malt and a bit of breadiness. A citrus hop character emerged as the liquid warmed up a bit. Hop profile is quite fruity overall.

T - Starts off with a spicy hop kick, then melds into quite a tangy malty flavor with plenty of sweet caramel. Flavor is a bit more malt-heavy than I was anticipating. However, this brew still finishes with a bit of wet citrus hop goodness.

M - Medium body with soft carbonation that provides minimal prickle on the palate. Texture is a bit chewy for an IPA. Mild to moderate bitter finish with a fairly short duration.

D - I was expecting more of a wet-hopped character with this one, but it was surprisingly quite malty overall. This is still tasty, although I was hoping for more fresh, dank hops and less of the sweet malt aspect.

a. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle purchased at Bocktown. Clear orange with a good retaining, soapy, white head. Spotty lacing here and there.

s. Bready malts dominate with some slight skunk/pungent odor from the mixture of hops.

t. A very well balanced Ipa. The malts provide a very solid backbone to the home grown fresh picked hops. Very nice puckering hop juice that is earthy with a subtle pine flavor. Light citrus. A hint of clean alcohol but it is very subdued. The finish highlights the lingering earthy hop bitters. All in all it is very nice.

m. Medium bodied with a good deal of flavor. Smooth yet a bit slick for an IPA.

d. Curious what a case would go for, because this stuff is worth a case purchase and then some.

Brewed with fresh "wet" hops. Pours into my "shaker" glass a rich golden yellow color with about a finger of off-white foam. Aroma is sweet and grassy with citrus notes. Tastes of bitter citrus fruits such as lemon and grapefruit (just the pith). Somewhat vegetal followed by a slight maltiness. The bitterness carries through in the aftertaste along with a slight alcohol warming. Mouth is crisp and dry with medium carbonation. I thought this was easy to drink and quite refreshing. I'm already looking forward to next years batch when these new plants will be more mature. Worth a try if you can find it. For now at least, it's only available on draft and bottles in the PA market.
