Last Chance IPA is a full-flavored hop assault delightfully lacking in balance. We’ve added a combination of Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe® and Columbus hops to produce pungent aromas of grapefruit, pine and citrus.

Weyerbacher Brewing Company donates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every drop of Last Chance IPA to small, local animal rescue organizations. These shelters offer dogs, cats and other pets their last chance to find a new home.
Have a glass and make a difference! Cheers!

Almost too hazy, even for an ipa. Taste is smooth and finishes cleanly. Like that it is not too strong and that it doesn’t have that bite. Good full feel that doesn’t disappoint. Decent ipa entry.

Good IPA. Cloudy, amber, with a medium-sized head. Aroma of a grapefruit with some caramel and pine. Almost the same in taste. Decent hoppy bitterness in aftertaste. Very drinkable.

Purchased in Emmaus at Shangy's. Canned date of 04/05/24.
LOOK: Pours a clear gold color with a near snow white head good looking head with good retention and lacing.
AROMA: Some moderate dank pine and citrus hops with some solid bread malts.
TASTE; Both mild and moderate tart and bitterness, drying with a nicely balance brew. The hops are much more mild than expected.
This is a good IPA but with the tax it runs $3.00 a can for a near $18.00 six pack. Thus, the overall lower score. I mean it's good but that equates to $70.00 a case. I don't think it comes close to being a value.

Looks semi opaque golden color with a white creamy/foamy head. Smell is of indistinct malts and hops. Tastes somewhat astringent, lemon, Feels super carbonated, not well balanced or tasty. Overall I like helping homeless dogs, but I don't want to drink mediocre beer to do so. Disappointing. I adopted a shelter dog already. If they really want to help homeless dogs they should learn to brew a great IPA which people will want to buy-REVISION- I did not want to completely rag on this beer with a good cause, I originally thought the aftertaste was reminiscent of kibble smell. I did not say that, thought it was me. With the remaining beers I detected the same grain bill as kibble. Pretty undesirable-

This should rate higher. Tastes like a session IPA and goes down easy.

$ 2.76 (Including tax)/12 oz can ($ 0.230/oz) from the brewery, Easton, PA. Reviewed 4/1/19.
“Canned on 03/13/19” stamped on the bottom of the can. Stored at 42 degrees and served at 42 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 4.
Body – Yellow, hazy.
Head – Large (Maximum 5.5 cm, aggressive center pour), off-white, dense, good retention, diminishing to an irregular four to five mm ring and a thick partial cap. Head retraction leaves behind some large pieces of lace.
Lacing – Good. As the level drops, wide bands of tiny to small bubbles form. Also, see above.
First pour – Light yellow, clear.
Aroma – 4 - Citrus with grapefruit leading and some pine.
Flavor – 3.5 – Despite the aromatic nose, the taste is simpler, slightly bitter, grapefruit mesocarp and just a touch of malt. No alcohol (5.9 % ABV), no dimethylsulfide, no diacetyl.
Palate – 3.5 – Medium, watery, soft carbonation.
Impression and interpretation – 3.75 – A decent IPA but the flavor is somewhat of a letdown after the enticing nose.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Despite zero agitation, this beer came out quickly, resulting in a dark golden color with a 2 inch head. Smell is mild, some citrus. Taste has lots of citrus, just a touch of pine, moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is decent, but not up to this brewers usual high standards.

Decent. Not anything special, but gets the job done. A little sweet, and not as bitter as I prefer, but not a bad flavor.

Weyerbacher Brewing Co. "Last Chance IPA"
12 fl. oz. can, "CANNED 13:46 10/05/18 B2"
$2 @ Wegmans, King of Prussia, PA

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a very hazy deep-golden 'orange' body beneath a two-finger thick head of off-white foam. The head retention so far seems to be quite good. In the nose it's piney, earthy, spicy, and mildly citrusy. It's not the brightest aroma, I'd think it was just a pale ale if I didn't know better, but it's OK. The flavor brings a little more citrus (orange, grapefruit) to the table but the earthy, piney, and gently spicy hop notes are there as well. There's a little more fruitiness to it as well that I can't quite make out... is it apricot? Is it mango? Maybe it's a little bit of both! It's nice, that little bit of extra fruitiness livens the piney and woody notes, and rounds out the citrusy notes. A firm, grainy and biscuity malt base supports the hops nicely, and it's very well-balanced in that regard, but then a firm bitterness also balances it and brings it to a dry conclusion with hops lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. I'd call it a solid, easy -drinkin' IPA all around and I just noticed that it's just 5.9% abv so that makes even more sense. Honestly though, at that alcohol content and with the amount of hops it has I'd call it a pale ale myself. There are more hops to it than many pale ales, that's for sure, but there are also a lot of American pale ales that are even hoppier in the aroma than this. Semantics, I guess, but I think you get my point. It's nicely done, well-balanced, and worth trying.
