Well, which bier is this? My can says "Henninger Premium Bier", just as the original reviewer for this entry has noted. It did taste a bit more Pils-like than a Helles.... Had a couple of 0.5l cans of this, courtesy of Artied2. We each had one yesterday, in a (1-week late) tribute to our late Dads...

Poured a clear, medium golden color. Had a creamy white head which receded rapidly, with a little stick left behind. Aroma was quite mild, with some grainy bitterness present. It was a bit less than medium with regards to body, and had some prckliness on the tongue.

Flavor was grainy and a bit vegetal (DMS?). Also in the mix was a corn-like flavor, plus a hint of a spicy hop character. The over-riding flavor was really a strong bitterness, and not in a good way. Throw in the DMS aspect, and this was a bier not to be finished.

A-Pure golden color, nice two fingers foam lasting for 10-15 seconds. Medium carbonation.

S-Very weak smell, almost nothing in it.

T/M-Pilsner bitter taste,slightly watery,malt,grains..

O-Average pilsner.

A: Pours a golden color with a nice white head and decent lacing.

S: mild aroma of fresh grain with only a trace of sweetness coming through.

T: Nice malty flavor with some bitterness and a clean finish.

F: Light body, initially crisp then it seems to sooth out. Decent balance.

Good drinker. Nice middle of the road Pilsner, not too fancy.

There was not much to the white head and lace both disappeared super quickly. The body was a bubbly straw colored. The flavor was overly grassy with some alcohol tone which I thought was weird considering it was only 4.8% ABV. The aroma was pasture like. I honestly was disappointed by this beer. Being that it was German I thought it would be better than it was.

Pours a an effervescent gold with 4 fingers of ivory colored head. Average head retention & lacing

S: Grassy hops & some breadyness

T: Floral & grassy hops, slight grainyness, a touch of honey malt up front, near classic German Pils profile here. Bready sweetness & grassy hops dominate as this warms, plus some mineral/flinty hops. Finishes crisp with a touch of lemony & herbal hops

MF: Medium bodied fairly lively carbonation & good balance

Drank easy, I honestly don't remember it being this good in the one two times I drank this in Frankfurt. A a solid German Pils

Hinninger Kaiser Pils looks beautiful, and almost unmatched when poured into a regular stein. There are vast amounts of bright white and soft pillowy head, and the body is gold and crystal clear.

The aroma is light with lemony hops and the typical freshly mown hay aroma.

The taste is clean with metallic and lemon hops, with an herbal finish.

Overall this is a good solid pilsner, and must be respected.

I first drank this beer in the mid 1970's, it was the beer sold in the cafe at Cochem Castle and I loved it.

Not seen it for years, then I found this 500ml bottle on the Greek island of Skiathos, was i pleased? You bet your ass!

Poured into the half pint tumblers that were supplied with my holiday studio, it looked great.

Deep golden body, white head, good lacing and head retension on both glasses. Clear and bright.

Normal lager/pils score of 3 for non-aroma.

Malty and wholesome flavour, rich for a normal pilsner.

Fairly dry, refreshing and crisp, full bodied, if a pilsner can be so called?

Good stuff, but remember I've been on a Greek island for ten days drinking local beers before I found this!

50cl bottle poured into a pint glass.

Pours a light golden with a bubbly white head that showed very good retention and lacing. The smell was very faint and maybe just some pale malts and other grains. The taste is a more noticeable version of the aroma with pale malts dominating. I did pick up a hint of hops with some bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is light and very crisp and dry with tons of carbonation. This is a decent enough pils though there's not a whole lot to it.

I am with shroompod, i think this is their pilsner. The can looks exactly like a mini keg my dad brought back from Germany almost 10 years ago aside from the word premium bier, instead of kaiser pilsenr this is a good not great beer whichever style it may be.

it starts with a decent head but it goes away fast. the aroma is clean, but leaves something, well anything, there isnt much of an aroma at all. a slight touch of malts maybe, but nothing more. the taste also comes off fast. a clean pilsner taste. its an ok beer, better than your average beer, but nothing that really excites me or makes me thing its a must buy. good summer beer.
