99 cent store in a can. Smells like sweet grains. Taste up front is light grain with carbonation. Mouthfeel is medium (silky). Turns into a cornbread taste. Then finishes heavy grain. This is an amazing beer! Gold circles on the front, make purchase!

Not sure what my issue is on BA — I tend to rate these ‘bad’ beers better than most do, and when I have the great beers I always seem to score them slightly lower than everyone else. My taste is definitely not pedestrian as when I like IPAs I like the full hop experience, generally prefer Belgians, love yeasty beers, sours… just seems to be that way.
Possible I got a very fresh can, they never print the bottling date on these big brewers offerings but I don’t smell or taste corn, or any adjuncts for that matter. I do get a surprising amount of hops for a macro, somewhat indistinguishable but not metallic! That’s a plus. Sort of a gentle noble hop taste.
Grainy, crispy, this is a lager. Can’t say I’d ever seek it out but it’s better than your Budweisers, Pabst, and Millers of the world. It’s pretty much a classic, straight up lager. Nothing off about it. Nothing to write home about either, of course, but still good.

Looks as good as any other German lager. The smell is malty, but dominated by corn. Not saying there's corn in this beer but it does smell that way. I can't smell any hops on the nose whatsoever. The taste is more of the same light malt and corn, with a mild vegetal hops finish. This one is nothing to write home about. At least it was fairly cheap and it's refreshing enough.

Pours a watery, diluted golden yellow.
Aroma is minerally and sharp with some hay and sweet corn.
Taste is largely per the aroma. It's dry enough that the adjunct corn doesn't become cloying, and is in fact inoffensive enough to be drunk in bulk, which is likely the idea.
Mouthfeel is standard and to type for a lager.
As noted, overall it's inoffensive and likely not designed for contemplation or rising more than a few degrees above freezing. It could easily be drunk with gusto in an appropriate setting that involved outdoors, shade and lively company.
Cheers!

Poured from a 16.9 oz. freshness dated can: deep golden, brassy, and clear hue with a very nice foamy white head.
The aroma of faint hops and ozone is dominant as well as a very faint chemical aroma.
After several sips, I have to conclude that a rating of 71, "Okay" is perhaps a little too low. Certainly, this is not Germany's finest lager, but it does at least retain some characteristics of a basic Helles lager - soft and malty mouthfeel with hints of lemon and vanilla. There is a slight harshness in the aftertaste that does not detract from the overall experience. For the price and can size (a six-pack of 16.9 oz cans) you can't go wrong.

Henninger Lager pours into my glass crystal clear and the color of ripe hay, showing me sumery, lager colored promise. The head is cloudy, bone white, and shows good retention.
Taking my first sniff shows a seamless blend of aromas. On the one hand there are the toasted grains, and soda cracker biscuit malt tinted aroma of malt. And then there's the adjunct laced sweetness of sweet corn. To be fair, these aromas blend together in a fairly uniform fashion, no one aroma trying to outweigh the others. Malt and corn lead into the leafy, grassy aroma of European hops.
First impressions are that Henninger Lager is smooth, crisp, and slightly dry in the finish. Up front corn sweetness leads directy into flavors of dry grain and biscuit malt. Corn sweetness keeps the malts from being too dry in nature. The center has a vaguely, subtly banana flavored sweetness before moving into a finish that is dry and lasting.
Despite the notable presence of corn in the flavor and aroma profile, Henninger Lager is still an enjoyable lager. Part of what makes this lager work for me is that the flavors and aromas still balance each other out. If this were an American lager the adjuncts would dominate more and make the beer that much less enjoyable.

I have never heard from so many snobs as beer tasters. I thought wine tasters were bad. Beer tasters are the worst. By far.
Henninger is my favorite tasting beer of all, and I’ve tried many. I love a malty, German lager.
Macrobrewerypiss?!?!!! Now I’ve heard it all.
Looks like beer, smells like beer, has the same fake head as all beers, and the bubbles look like bubbles. What more do you want?

This beer is what American Macro-Piss lagers might taste like, if they were actually real beer. Not the best German Lager in the world, but Light-years ahead of Bud, Coors, Miller, Stella and all that trash. No adjuncts whatsoever. A decent *Real* lager.

Pleasant enough German lager. No obvious faults. Has a fair amount of residual sweetness of a light malt character. It is NOT an adjunct lager. Not much in the way of the noble hops aromas that I would expect in a beer of this type. It has a clean finish with bittering hops. Head and carbonation was underwhelming with a thin mouth feel. Suits as a 'lawnmower' beer or as a cleansing accompaniment with snacks. Very good value.
