A hazy blonde ale brewed with malted wheat. Its light body and bright, complex dry hop aromatics make it both highly refreshing and full of flavor. ABV: 5.5%, IBU: 35

16 oz can from Tavour. Milky, hazy gold pour, fluffy head fades but still covers beer. Mild aroma of citrus and bread, small hints of tropical fruit. Taste comes in juicy, light citrus, more sweet than tart. Grapefruits and lemons. Smooth with a small hoppy tingle.

This to me tastes and smells like an English Pale Ale. It looks like NEw England though.

The color and slight haze remains the same but the head is thick and billowy this time; very long lasting. Soft and faint aroma but yielding up gentle notes of powdered sugar and light bread crust; mild lemon. Finely balanced flavors of biscuit and bread crust with soft hop bitterness notes; some lemony notes but very low-key. Medium body; rich and full on the palate.

This second go around has been much more enjoyable than a few weeks back. Perhaps I cracked the can open too soon after receiving the shipment, and time has now allowed the can and its contents to settle down. A nice, long chill in the fridge certainly didn't hurt. Anyway, I'm sold on this beer. It has a beautiful appearance and pleases the nose and mouth all around.
------------------------
Soft and cloudy pale yellow body; wispy, fizzy head. Decent aroma of grapefruit and lemon. Bready, doughy malt base with a mild citrus overtone and relatively strong hop bitterness; light powdered sugar sweetness. Medium body; somewhat fizzy from the carbonation yet with a slickness also in play; dry with some citrus pucker to the mouthfeel.

I suppose the wheat accounts for some of the bread-like flavor and mouthfeel smoothness. Still, the beer seems pretty understated across the board. There is little in the way of eye-appealing head or enticing aroma. The taste isn't bad yet doesn't provide much excitement, while the mouthfeel doesn't do much either. The can has the date of 06/13/19 on it, so it should be relatively fresh, but this sample just seems stale. Ah, well. It's drinkable.
