Bottled just yesterday, 7/28/16. Appears to be a variation of Lush as part of the research series.

Pours a cloudy golden hue with a two finger head into my glass. A bit of lacing lines the rim.

Mango notes greet the nose with apricot and honeydew melon.

Deluge of citrus with notes of papaya, pineapple, mango, apricot and honeydew melon. Nice and bitter and not too hot.

Soft mouthfeel makes it deceptively drinkable.

Frost is hitting them out of the park at the moment. I hope that eventually, they will be able to can their beers because that's where they will really shine. Definitely pick this up before it disappears!

Look; a very pleasant golden haze to gaze at with some lacing . Smell; smell is NOT one of my strong points but I did get a slightly piney odor. Taste; for my likes and dislikes this was a strong "Like". Heavy, maybe a tad to heavy, on hops and a not to much malt. Piney for sure with some aftertaste on the piney and not in a bad way for me. Feel; kind of velvety bitterish. I would buy this again but would love to try their Lush for a comparison.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a rugged orange murky color with a two finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Some light lace.
The aroma had a nice blend of lemon to orange pulpy sweetness flowing over some mango/papaya sweetness. Subtle freshly cut grass, a light grapefruit clean sweetness and ended with a little bit of clean wheaty malt.
The flavor took all of the prior mentioned aroma to boot and moderately blended to guide and round out the sweet levels to follow into the aftertaste nice and clean.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a pretty good sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good. Nice softness along my tongue as the "normal" bitterness components of the style aren't exceedingly harsh.
Overall, very nicely done DIPA, well worth my time and money. Super glad these guys have legit prices for the quality of their beers.

22 0z bottle dated 7/28/16 poured into a 16oz Craft Master glass on 7/30/16. Pours a slightly hazy golden honey amber with a tight fluffy head. Nose is citrus and melon with a really good punch of dankness. Medium carbonation with a slightly bitter finish and a soft mouthfeel. Taste follows the nose very closely. Much like Lush with a wonderful dank punch in my opinion. The Frost guys are producing some very good beers and I'm surprised to say this is my favorite so far. This is beer is labeled as "Research Series - a Tribute to Scott W (RIP)" All I can say is thank you, Scott! ... No need to research this one any more, I love it just like it is.

awesome golden hazed appearance with a dense white head that hangs out. big pungent notes on the nose and palate follows nicely. candied tangerine orange, mango, peach, pineapple, passionfruit, bready malts, plastic dankness, earth, grass, grapefruit, pine. all comes together and has that super soft and creamy feel that is characteristic of frost. these guys are on fire with their hoppy brews, underated and absolutely in the top tiers of ales in the northeast.

From a 22oz bottle, dated 04/27/17. Served in a spiegelau.

Pours a moderately hazed, happy, sunshiney gold, like a fat overripe mango, with four-plus fingers of pouffy whipped-cream head. Retention is exceptional and leaves huge clumping wads of lace.

Nose is a malty-fruity-yeasty stew of Vermont goodness. Spicy wheat? layered with limes and papaya and something like freshly sanded wood. I wish the nose were a little more prominent but it's still bright enough to claw-out a 4.0.

Taste agrees with the nose. Yeasty white bread slathered with tropical fruit marmalade. Oranges, lemons and lime, peach and papaya, a little spice. Finishes with some raw, sticky hop oils.

Feel is smooth and clean, medium bodied and brightly carbonated. No detectable alcohol whatsoever.

I THINK, this is supposed to be the DDH iteration of Lush, right? But I've had Lush recently enough that this seems wholly different to me - not, oddly enough, the hop profile so much as the malt bill itself and the yeast. Not that I care particularly because they're both freaking delicious. Good stuff; gets the job done.

22 oz. bottle dated 9/28/16. Poured into a willy glass. A super-hazy dirty orange with a two finger soft off-white head that sticks to the glass as it drops. Smells are somewhat muted, but full of tropical and citrus fruits. Taste is awesome - full of juicy tropical fruits with just a bit of bitterness on the finish. Mouth feel is perfect - creamy and soft, medium body, refreshing despite being a juice bomb. Overall, another excellent creation from Frost. Keep 'em coming!
