Poured into a mug, the appearance was a dark brown color with a finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head that held for a good little bit before gently dissipating. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had a good blend of honey, maple, roasted nuts, dried leaves, some milk chocolate, slight dark chocolate, and a little whiff of dark bread.
The flavor moderately leaned towards the sweet side through the maple, honey and milk chocolate. Semi-dry, roasty and sweet honey to maple to milk chocolate aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied, seemed to sit just a tad under with a good carbonation and an ample ABV. Nice balance of smooth maple stickiness to moderate roasty sort of ruggedness.
Overall, pretty nice English styled brown ale well worthy of having again. Maybe Tuesday's rain in June, also could have helped but this would be a good Autumn sipper as well.

Bottled 5/25/17.
Gentle to moderate pour yields a one inch light tan head over a very dark brown body. Nose of chocolate and a bit of maple as well. Taste is where this shines as the maple, honey, and nuts come forward. Feel is a tad thin, but overall, yet another fine offering from this Vermont brewery. Cheers!
