375ml bottle.

Pours clear cherry red with a short-lived head of light pink. Raspberry jam spritzed with bright acid in the nose. Medium bodied with a tacky, almost chewy mouthfeel yet crisp. Ripe raspberries and cherry on the palate with a moderate level of tartness. Jammy and juicy with a mildly acidic edge. Finishes with plenty of fresh raspberries and a lingering tartness.

Great beer but on the tamer side of sour.

Purchased at the brewery, shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a very nice ruby red hue with a one finger pink head that fades to leave a thin halo and light wisps.

S - Aromas of seedy red berries, loads of mineral funk. Prominent acidity on the nose, light vinegar.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, hugely acidic and tart. Very very nice seedy red raspberry, the yeast notes are excellent. The berries are very jammy, really really powerful fruits.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, lightly flemmy.

O - Overall this is a very very good lambic style beer. Excellent raspberry notes, glad I have one more bottle.

500ml bottle served in my Deciduous taster. Pours the color and clarity of cranberry juice with a frothy, half-inch, pink tinged head that quickly dissipates into a tight band around the shoulders. Great nose - bright raspberries notes with a hint of funk and perhaps lactic acid. Raspberries are a bit more subdued in the flavor profile. There's also a suggestion of acetic acid; however, there's also a hint of dishwater in the mix. Fortunately, it's not too off-putting. Mouthfeel is light in body with an acidity shy of puckering and a sharp carbonation that leaves a residual burn at the back of the throat between quaffs. Overall, I enjoyed this beer; however, that weird dishwater quality keeps it from being topnotch. That said, I wouldn't sit on these bottles for too long in my opinion.
