Clawson's Pub & Deli is a charming little place (49 person occupancy) situated inside the Track One industrial complex not too far southeast of the Tennessee Brew Works. I can only assume that the businesses within the complex make up the brunt of their business, but the sandwiches are good enough to make a trip in and of themselves, let alone the beer, so go.

There are 14 regular sandwiches (#14 is a make-your-own) as well as a daily special ("La Sandwich Vita"). They range in price from mainly $5.49 to $6.49 although there are 2 that cost $7.49 or $8.99 - but you get what you pay for. (I like the #9 which is a fancy grilled cheese w/ cheddar, swiss, provolone and house spices pressed in sourdough).

As for beer, there are 4 on tap and 55-60 or so in cans and bottles. They tend to keep the taps accessible (nothing crazy) but solid, and fairly well balanced (i.e. an IPA, a wheat, a Helles, an English ESB), always including a classic beer (i.e. Anchor Steam, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Fuller's ESB, etc.). Cans and bottles runs roughly the same way with classics (i.e.New Belgium Fat Tire, New Castle Brown Ale, Brooklyn Lager, Boddington's) and more interesting or local brews (i.e. Founders All Day IPA, Butternuts Heinnieweisse, Monk's Cafe Sour Ale, French Brood 13 Rebels, Finch's Threadless IPA, etc.).

I have to say that I feel the prices are a little high for both draft and bottles/cans, but mores for the draft. I don't do growlers so I don't know how to equate those, but I do like that they sell little "squeakers".

As for decor it's pretty basic but also kind of 'country-hip'. They've got a nice red "BAR" sign over their menu board, and that ties in with some of their furniture in the small dining area, as well as the exposed brick and then compliments the green door to the outside seating area and the bar top. It's just a chill, relaxed place to have lunch or hang out after work with a few friends where it's not too crowded.

I wish them well because they seem like nice people (... people I'd like to hang out with at least), and I think you should definitely give them a chance based on the quality of their sandwiches, and their decent selection of beers.
