What we've done here is create an amplified version of our Mofosaic IPA. This single hop Imperial IPA is brewed with English and American pale malts and flaked oats. Hopped intensely and singularly with Mosaic hops.

This beer is better if you wait a little bit before drinking. I had a few of these less than a week after it’s release and by far it is better to let it sit for some time before drinking (about a month).

Served in a goblet from the can.

Appearance: Semi hazy with a gold color with a white head rising a nudge over one finger's length off the body.

Smell: Light floral aroma which dissipates quickly from the nostrils.

Taste: Feels a bit like an imperial lager, oatmeal and heavy malt coming off bitter and filled with heavy yellow grapefruit juice.

Mouth: Soft carbonation. Easy to drink brew.

Overall: Good brew but wasn't as good as some other gems I grabbed from Sand City. Salud!

A: The beer is very hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left lots of lacing down the side and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of lime are present in the nose along with notes of mango and cream.
T: The taste has flavors of mango along with notes of lime and cream.
M: It feels medium-bodied, smooth, and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The aromas and flavors in this New England IPA are quite complex and intense for a single hop IPA.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass; no production information.
A: Pours a virtually, crystal clear, bronze color with a one to two finger, white head, modest retention, and sticky, complex rings of lacing all the way down the glass.
S: Aromas of orange, caramel, and pine with a cocoa note.
T: Semisweet. Palate follow the nose. Bitterness far in the background.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Nearly creamy.
O: A well crafted and enjoyable AIPA. Whether it is a NEIPA seems open to question.

Traded for this a while ago, as there wasn't a date or anything else written on the bottom of the can. Yes, there was a lot of sediment in the liquid but even with that factored in, this was a great beer that was incredibly smooth, balanced, and enjoyable all at the same time. For a New England IPA, what else could you ask for?

Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was a moderately radiant apricot with plenty of particles in it, but that was probably more my fault than anyone else's as I let this sit for quite some time before getting around to it. Plenty of head topped this off and the soapy lacing was quite extensive as well, as it covered up nearly half of my pint glass as I worked my way through this. Lots of Mosaic, melon, honey, nectar, and apricot in the extensive nose as the taste contained all of those, along with vanilla cream, tangerine, sherbet, and mildly dank hops, Blueberry juice and oats came through in this taste as this was quite full, balanced, and perfectly carbonated up until the last sip - which is something that I don't say about a lot of beers that I rate on here!

Plenty of booze here but with so much going on and so much slick sweetness in the mouthfeel, you'll hardly notice it. Balanced, juicy, sweet, and slightly dank, this was such a winner of a beer and full of everything that I love about what's coming out of these parts in recent years. With a slightly herbal aftertaste and tons of nuances to it, this ranked among Sand City's best and was an excellent showcase of Mosaic. Highly recommended!

Tall can from the source....canned 11/7/18

Hazed up NEIPA pour, minor head and leaves some fine bubble sheeting

Ripe fruit on the nose with pineapple, melon, lime, and some vanilla.

Complex, tasty and super smooth brew, more pineapple, lime and tropical fruity goodness on the palate....mighty fine NEIPA..well worth seeking out

A 16 fl. oz. can with no canned on or best before date. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.

Appearance: A lightly hazy golden orange colour with a big three finger white head that had great retention and left lots of nice lacing.

Aroma: Orange, grapefruit peel, biscuit, light caramel, pine, pineapple, mango and blueberries.

Taste: Moderate sweetness, biscuit, honey, papaya, pineapple, light bitterness, mandarin peel and rind, and grass.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Overall: It’s nice, but perhaps too sweet a Double IPA for me to fully enjoy.
