Golden hazy body, lacy white head, aromas of citrus and flowers and grains; juicy with lemon and grapefruit, edged with clean, green pine; smooth and soft, medium-light body, ample carbonation; well-bittered and tight on the finish. Well-done. 2/2/17 canning.

Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a one inch white head that left excellent lacing, lively visible carbonation. Smells of citrus and tropical fruits. Tastes of orange, mango pineapple, melon, lemon, a bit of pine and dankness. Medium bodied and carbonated, soft mouth feel, low bitterness.

Traded for this a while ago, but I have no idea when as there wasn't a date on the bottom of the can. Plenty to like about this beer as it was flavorful, full, and easy to drink given how much alcohol was in it. Balanced and bright, this was an American Imperial IPA that didn't come across as a hop bomb as it was quite full and bright while having enough heft to it for me to enjoy slowly.

Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was golden, hazy, and full of fine sediment. That had the appearance of being suspended in amber as this beer had a bit of a timeless look to it. Plenty of head topped it off as there was a decent amount of lacing left behind once I worked my way through it, with a sizable chunk of it being left around the collar of my pint glass. Deep tangerine, stone fruit, lime pith, and juicy hops filled the nose as all of those were present in the taste as well. Pine dankness, murky forest, citrus rind, strong stone fruit, and a weedy hop presence filled the palate as this was quite heavy, a bit soupy, and thick enough that it took a while for me to fully savor. Overripe stone fruit filled my mouth as this felt like fermented swamp water, which was a good thing if you like your beer full of Simcoe and Mosaic with plenty of body from the malt and wheat that was in this.

The amount of alcohol was spot-on and the carbonation was a bit light, as the heavy-handed nature of this beer was able to linger on my palate for quite a while. Slightly dry from the flaked wheat and Golden Promise Malt, a bit of water was needed as a chaser to fully get this down. Given how the taste grew on me throughout my session, that wasn't necessary as it just took a bit of time for me to fully appreciate this. If you like your beers heavy, complex, and dank, you've found a match here. This was another winner from Sand City that has me espousing them to fellow imbibers!

Poured from a 16oz can into a speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a light slightly hazy yellow with a thick full head.

Aroma is tropical mango citrus.

Taste matches aroma. So delicious
