355ml can. I'm a real wild one, wild one, wild one...
This beer pours a clear, bright pale golden straw colour, with three fingers of puffy, weakly foamy, and mostly just bubbly bone-white head, which leaves a bit of frothy wave profile lace around the glass as it quickly abates.
It smells of bready, crackery, and slightly doughy pale malt, underripe apple skin, corn grits, a hard water flintiness, and very tame earthy, weedy hops. The taste is grainy, lightly bready pale malt, acrid corn husk, a certain phenolic yeastiness, and still weak as the day is long earthy, dead grassy hops.
The carbonation is fairly engaged in its fizzy and frothy second gears, the body medium-light in weight, and mostly pithy and clammy in its wan attempt at smoothness. It finishes dry, I suppose, more wet plastic coming to the forefront than this camper would generally prefer.
Not much of a pilsner of any stripe - yeah, once again, contracting your brews out to a shady next-province over brewery, while you get your own operation up and running (a Herculean effort, I can concede that), is just a bit ungainly, eh? Maybe it's just me, but do you really want Alberta beer drinkers to equate your early offerings to that shitshow 'craft' brewer up in NE Calgary? No, no you don't.

Tasting notes: Not great. There is a corn sweetness pervading the proceedings, albeit one that somehow recalls both burnt stubble and fermented fruit. Gets acrid after a while. Quite fizzy. Fools one initially into perceiving a dry crispness, but quickly reveals its cidery nature. The grassy, spicy hops are solid but cannot rescue the rest of the package. Grainy. I'd almost prefer the unprepossessing crisp fizz of a macro lager, if I had to choose.

Not quite as terrible as I was expecting.
