Currently #41 on the top Mississippi Beers list.
CAN: 12 fl oz. A sixer ran me less than $9 at a beer store in New Orleans (plus tax). Pull-tab. White and green label.
"India Pale Ale."
Citrusy tropical fruits are the emphasis here...tangerine, grapefruit, mango. Finishes bitter and rindy with a scraping grapefruit dryness and pith. Pale malts lend some sweetness but not enough to bring it neatly into balance. It's a bit unpleasant and aggressive as a result of its imbalance...too bitter.
Not a very enjoyable IPA nor is it one I'd buy again.

Look - standard copper color with slight head
Smell - lots of tropical fruit
Taste - not the same as the smell. Slight bitter pine but with a little tropical fruit
Feel - medium body and carb
Overall - pretty good, could use more fruity hop taste

Smoothe and Hoopy... Creamy finish, but not heavy. SOLID IPA!

12 oz can purchased from Jackson, MS. No can date. 12 oz snifter.
Beautiful peach-honey color with a tall frothy head of 2 fingers.
Aroma is very sulfur-forward. Also malty with equal shares of biscuit and caramel malt. Slight sweaty melon and grapefruit. That skunky sulfer aroma comes back again too.
Flavor profile is pretty sharp to begin, but I'm suspecting a low alpha hop boiled for an extended time. It's not real powerful but it cuts. Pine, grapefruit, some of that sulfur comes through as well, with fading flavors of orange peel and pine.
Feel is crisp and carbonated, slight resin on the finish.
Overall not too impressed. I can notice a lot of flaws - that sulfur note is so strong in the aroma and flavor that it ruins the beer! Besides that pretty malt forward with equal pine and orange peel.

I tried this at Wildwood Bar in Florence alabama. It poured a clear copper with white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had hints of citrus peel and pine. The taste leaned slightly bitter but was easy to drink. Pine resin finish was nice. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it was good.

Just having it in a can i did not enjoy it as much as some other options in the area, but had to change my opinion after having it at their taproom when it was fresh. Very good ipa when it is fresh. I think the cans i've had have been old. Bottle dates please chandeleur!

L- It looks awesome, pours a nice looking copper color. It's hazy so you already know it's good.
S- I'm picking up pine and citrus, as well as a little bit of floral notes.
T- It's hoppy alright, I'd even say a little dank. I'm getting that good taste of hop resin there at the tail end. Pure hoppiness for this guy.
F- Medium bodied and a little sticky, it's that good stuff.
O- I'd say that this is the best IPA in Mississippi, and one of the better ones that I've had. It's underrated, and I hope that the good people of Chandeleur can get this beer on the map. Y'all go try it.

Lil Smack IPA has a thin, off-white head, a mostly clear, amber appearance, some lazy bubbles, and low-level lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of mango, old peaches, malt, some soil, and dankness. Taste is of all that, with the hop bitterness riding behind the malt, then coming to the fore, as one drinks down on this beer. Mouthfeel is high medium and slightly slick, and Lil Smack IPA finishes semi-puckering dry. Is it odd? Yes. Is it good? Yes.

Hazy orange gold color with white cap and lacing.
Aroma primarily of hops, rich scents of pineapple, mango and grapefruit with a touch of resin.
Taste is hop forward on entry with the citrus element prominent followed by resin and malt in the background. A sense but not taste of mild sweetness. Hops lead to the finish then linger in the aftertaste.
Medium texture with balancing carbonation.
Overall it's a pleasing effort of hop forward IPA without apparent flaws.
