I chose to visit Bluegrass on a Friday evening around 7pm and the place was packed as expected. I had to park at the Enterprise car rental next door. There were actually a couple of empty stools at the bar when I entered though so I was pleased. The atmosphere was very casual and felt kind of like a dressed up cafeteria.

The color scheme is bright with a sunny golden sunflower shade w/ dark wood accents kind of like a bumble bee. The acoustics are somewhat poor and the place seemed loud even though the space was not overly crowded. There are many flatscreens so it is hard not to be distacted. They have a huge long black board over the bathroom enterance with all of the draft offerings listed with their respective abv's and ibu's which is a nice touch and can be helpful when seated at a circular bar.

The service was quick and friendly even though they were busy, I got my food served rather quickly. They are efficient and pleasant and seemed genuinely interested in the satifaction of the customer.

Quality is exceptional with quality beer and food. The beer is well crafted, the menu is complete w/ bison from a local meat supplier and vegetarian entrees are clearly marked.

I enjoyed the selection highly as there were about 11 beers on tap - 2 Belgian styles, 2 German ales, 4 English ales, Bourbon Stout, a Mead and APA w/ a nitro stout and cask offering. They also carried 750s and six packs to go. I enjoyed the visit to BBC and must admit the value is very good for all the great food - I had a spinach and artichoke pizza w/ chicken and variety of ales. I got a growler to go for $9 of Beej's Bitter( the Dubbel Dribbel was $18) and the 8 inch pizza was only $6.99 pretty reasonable. I will definitely return if I am ever in Louisville again.

Had a great time, food was delicious, and the Berliner Weisse was suprisingly good, being that i ususally am not too big on BBC's offerings. I was impressed.

Stopping in with my family for lunch during a shopping trip. The atmosphere is as much a sports bar as a brew pub. College football was playing on several big screen TVs throughout the place. We sat in the indoor dining area. You can see the on site brewery from this area. There is also a large bar area as well as a large outdoor (covered) section. I could picture myself sitting in the outdoor area on a nice day trying one of everything.

There were a number of BBC beers available. I started with a sampler of 7 (IPA, APA, Wheat, Porter, Alt Bier, Bourbon Barrel Stout and Malt Liquor (yes, craft malt liquor). All the beers are very good. Some may complain that some are served too cold however it's a lot easier to let a beer warm than to cool it! My wife chose a Dark Star Porter and I had a Alt Beer and American Wheat. At 4.50/pint they are quite reasonable. You can also get half-pints for 2.75. Growler fills area available and we took home one of the Dark Star Porter and the "Urban Nomad" Malt Liquor. The place also has a full bar.

The food was standard "pub grub". Between us we had pizza, wings, crab cakes and quesidillas. All were decent enough and reasonably priced also. Our server was enthusiastic and knew a good deal about the beer and the whole place. We never felt rushed.

Overall this is a decent place with decent enough food and beer all at very reasonable prices.
