Great little place to get a world class craft beer in the heart of Florence, just a couple blocks from Duomo.

Found this place while walking around the city. Overall, the place had a good vibe (nice lively crowd, good music). Quality of the beer was good, probably better than most places in Italy. Service was OK. Not sure that the bartender really knew how to draw a beer from the tap as he constantly had too much head on the beer and then he would take some off, wait for the head to settle...rinse and repeat several times...needless to say, it took longer than it should have to get a beer and we were only maybe 6 of the 12 or so people in the place. Nice selection of styles, including some that were not over-hopped (which is increasing harder to find). When I am back in Florence, I will probably stop in again.

Found this place on my iMaps and went there our first half-day in Florence. When you first see it, it looks like a hole in the wall due to its small storefront and dimly lit interior, but inside, it screams 1990's grunge. When we were there, it was a constant stream of 90's alt rock, from Pearl Jam, to Blue Traveler, to others of similar sound, the music and atmosphere was great. There are a few tables on the ground floor and looks like a few more in the basement. There are board games available as well.
They have a about 12 taps, most of which are Brew Dog brews, as well as a fairly long list of bottle availabe, both Brew Dog and others. The stars of the bottle list are Tactical Nuclear Penguin and Sink the Bismark! which was a nice novelty. The bartender, whose name I didn't catch, was helpful with any beer advice and spoke English very well. He was always readily available for service or a helpful hint.
We got some dinner while we were here; I had the fish and chips and my wife had the club sandwich. While not terrible, the food was about what you would expect for American dishes in non-UK Europe. My fish was obviously frozen, breaded fish that was tossed in the fryer; it was actually ok given this fact. My wife's clue sandwich actually looked pretty good and she said it was about average. The fries were pretty good for what it is worth.
Overall, this was a cool, fairly Americanized craft beer bar in Florence. Most of the beers were average, while a few were decent, but they were just Brew Dog's normal brews. The food was nothing special, but if you are tired of pizza in Italy, then it works. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you like dive-like bars with great music.

Amazing place we stumbled upon just wandering the city. Walked in to a crowded bar and an incredibly friendly bartender who ended up being co-owner. Had a great knowledge of beers and said he fell in love with beer when he lived in Seattle. Basic lineup of Brewdog beers on tap with some other Italian beers, but great selection for the area. Did not have the food but looked delicious. Will definitely return next time I'm in Florence.
