On tap at Beer Revolution in Calgary (from notes), was informed by the waitress that it is actually a coffee chipotle brew but they didn't have enough space on the scoreboard menue to fit the whole description in
A - clear dark brown-red colour, finger of tan head when it arrived at the table with some spots of lacing already apparent
S - fairly big espresso aroma right away (it was at this point I asked the waitress about it and found out it's a coffee chipotle ale), some caramel and earthy woody odours, very mild smoke
T - espresso is the dominant force, then sweet and smoky chipotle flavours slowly break through, along with some earthy hop accents
M - medium body with a smooth texture, sweet with light coffee bitterness and a touch of chili heat
O - its started as a bit of a mystery but it ends up working well as a coffee ale with just enough smoky/sweet/spicy character to keep it interesting

16oz pint at Beer Revolution - I'm adding it to this location, in advance of the eventual merging of the various Brewsters entries here.

This beer appears a clear, very dark red brick cola hue, with two fingers of tightly foamy, almost creamy beige head, which leaves some nice craggy mountain profile lace around the glass as it slowly subsides.

It smells of decent caramel malt, and some prominent milk chocolate espresso, which overrides a very subtle smoky spicinesss, amongst a very tame earthy, leafy hoppiness. The taste is somewhat sweet caramel cream malt, sugary baker's chocolate, a lessened bitter coffee flavour from the promise of the aroma, an echo of indistinct, generic spiciness, and fallow earthy hops.

The bubbles are rather restrained, and unseen in their toil, the body a strong medium weight, and deftly, practically silky, smooth. It finishes sweet, with the caramel, coffee, and bready malt all carrying things through.

If they had mentioned 'coffee', 'espresso', 'kava', or the like in the name, they'd have an overall winner. As it stands, all they have instead is a pretty good coffee ale, with an ethereal spicy note, as opposed to a misleading "Chipotle Ale".
