Notes / Commercial Description:
Each Halloween we release this special concoction to celebrate one of our favorite holidays. Deep blood-red in color, an intense aroma of pine and citrus from an abundance of American hops balances the sweetness and rich, bready flavors of this beer's caramel malts. The result is a fiendishly smooth brew that will make your taste buds scream with delight.

This beer pairs excellently with toffee, caramel apples, or your favorite horror flick.

Deep menacing bloody amber
Airy citrus and light pine hops, cool caramel aromas
Medium bodied, craftily brewed with an excellent combination of hop varieties and whole bread richness, quick bittersweet finish

Bottled on 8/21/15. This is really good buy now don't read any further. Huge hop aromas you'd think you were drinking a nice double ipa. Candy like malt balances this beer beautifully. This is the kind of beer you have to sip slowly so you don't drink the whole thing in a couple minutes.

I got a growler of this beer from AleSmith. What can I say? Yum? It's one of the best growlers that I have ever had.

Appearance- A reddish brown

Smell- It has a bit of a hoppy smell with some sweetness

Taste- A yummy red with some hop fun added in

Mouthfeel- It's sweet, so a tad sticky

Drinkability- There is little taste of alcohol. It has a yummy flavor, so quite drinkable.

22 oz. Bomber
Bottled On: 03/21/15

Been wanting to try this brew for years, finally!

Pours a very nice amber color, with some very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, which leaves some very nice thick/creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, with some very nice malt notes, citrusy. The taste is hoppy, malty, citrusy. Medium body, with a very nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty Amber Ale. Worth the wait.

Great fake blood, grade B molasses appearance.

Nose is dried black fruits (raisins!) and Christmas trees.

Flavor is wonderful: candied orange peel, maple syrup, hoppy with a great bittersweet finish

Very good, but you can't have more than 3 pints. A) IT starts to get very heavy B) You'll be hammerwed... which isn't a bad thng, but you'll stop appreciating this kick-ass beer.

Pours a clear deep amber color with a light taupe head. Sweet grapefruit leaps from the glass into the olfactory with some rich, sweet butterscotch that underlies it. Mouthfeel is light to medium-bodied with a bit of a carbonation scrub developing midway. Flavors are like a Milky Way bar with a tart cherry on top. Fine effort.

Poured into a nonfiction tumbler from a 22 oz bottle- pours a clear mahogany color with two fingers of head, great retention and nice splotches of lacing.

Smell is pretty piney as well as some caramel and bread.

Tastes great like everything else from alesmith- like a previous BA said, it's a little sweet up front, followed by pine hops and a little bitterness, then rich caramel and bread notes. Finishes sweet.

Mouthfeel is great- medium to full bodied, modest carbonation. This is a great beer that's not radical but supremely drinkable. I will get it again.

Picked up two growlers of this at the Speedway Stout release.

Pours a dark rich red with big fluffy off-white head, hits you with a big burst of american hops backed up with sweet malty aroma behind it. Great hoppy burst in the mouth, though well balanced with a thick malty backbone. Highly drinkable, with a pleasant citrusy hops aftertaste. A great beer from alesmith. this one is quite different from past years, seems to be getting darker with higher ibu's as the years go by.
