On tap @ the source for Grand Pre during SDBW.

A: Pours black with a thin mocha head which fades quickly to the rim leaving spotty lace.

N: Straight up peanut butter cup candy with very mild roast and chocolate.

T: You take your peanut butter cup and dip it in roasty coffee and add a trace of vanilla.

M: Full body and semi-moderate carbonation. Mildly sweet on the finish with lingering peanut butter and chocolate.

O: Fun to try. Slightly sweet. I felt this as a novelty and it tied for 3rd place in Lap 1.

On tap at the brewery. 8oz pour into a snifter.

Pours an opaque black, with just a ring of head. sticks around for the duration. Generic looking stout, but nice nonetheless.

Smells very sweet. Dark roasted malts, peanut butter, coffee & a hint of bourbon. Smells inviting, but not peanut butter dominant.

Taste of sweet malts, peanut butter, slight bourbon, slight coffee and a tad boozy. Kind of hot still. Not as balaced or dominate of flavors as expected. Leaves you expection more.

Mouth is more pleasant than the actual swallow. Peanut butter is more present with a nice Slighty dry finish.

Sounded better than it actually was. I believe the peanut butter stout I had on tap at Mission was better than this one. Still a decent brew, but wouldn't hunt it down.
