Horny Devil is our interpretation of a Belgian-style Golden Ale. Brewed with authentic Belgian ingredients including candi sugar and a Trappist yeast strain, its fruity and spicy aromas include notes of orange, banana, and peppercorns. Coriander seeds add refreshing citrus notes which meld seamlessly with the beer’s delicate malt. Horny Devil finishes with a lively carbonation and a refreshingly dry finish.

Crystal clear, light gold body; dense, small-bubble carbonation, lively; thick, white head, dense and frothy. Soft, mellow fruity esters greet the nose; pear; very light biscuit malt. Fantastic flavor; floral sweetness; light honey; ; subtle spiciness; delicate phenol add contrast; mild bitterness. Medium body; soft with a light velvety feel overall; sublime residual sugar cushion; semi-sweet overall.

This is a very impressive Belgian ale with coriander added. Soft, balanced, very flavorful.

A bit of a Hoegaarden clone, but it does have it's own character. A bit heavier and sweeter than Hoegaarden. Not a bad brew. Pretty much no head at all and the can was about 5 weeks old. 10% ABV though!

2013 bottle. White head. Clear golden color.

Tastes like a Belgian strong golden ale. Yeast, clove, coriander, spice, and malts. Caramel and toffee malts. Earthy and bitter hops. Some honey sweetness. Solid offering even after all these years.

Had this from a bottle.
A: pours translucent golden body with a white head with some retention and minimal lacing.
S: sweet, orangey smell with testy esters.
T: sweet, orange peel taste with sweet, banana ester in the back of the palette.
M: medium bodied and retry crisp and smooth.
O: pretty solid Belgian; well balanced and flavorful

(11.2 oz bottle, no freshness dating; purchased single off shelf... decanted into a fat tulip)

L: mildly-yellow amber liquid, slight haze; foam fizzled out on pour, not even a collar left... haze clears, liquid goes bright; no lace

S: aromas reminiscent of La Fin or La Chouffe; coriander and spicy yeast bold out front... slight honey-sweet, syrupy pale malt nectar... nothing out of the ordinary for its build; points for intensity, expression; but clarity muddy

T: coriander pungency, gobs(?) of rather familiar bubblegum-banana-clove spice character; again, nothing out of the ordinary... aftertaste briefly sports a curiously pointed isoamyl acetate, which gradually pulls back, allowing a nutty yeast note to push forward; relatively dry in its lingering stage, slightly peppery, fragrantly spicy

F: sans head, begets flatitude... mildly liqueur-like, booze-attenuated, weightless silk power... unfortunately too smooth, heat elegantly tamed... how old is this bottle?!?

O: y'all are funny... this is basically a slightly-stronger version of Golden Monkey, no better no worse... not much to it; not much more to say (1702)

Poured from a bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Slightly cloudy golden amber pour with thick fluffy white head. Great lacing.

S: Sweet grains and spice. Coriander, banana, and yeast esters.

T.F: Sweet and spicy. Yeast character, bread, coriander, and clove. Lemongrass, honey, and fruit. Could use some bitterness/hops for balance. Medium bodied.... slightly boozy.

O: A solid Belgian Strong Pale. A bit sweeter than I'd like but lots of flavor. Glad I was able to snag a bottle.
