Pours a clear yellow with an inch thick white head. Lots of bubbles. Smell floral, with strong belgian yeast and fruity notes. Finishes with pronounced malt. Taste is very much like the smell. Malt is strong, followed by white grape, pear, and phenol. Mouthfeel is dry and crisp. Alcohol warms you very quickly.

OG=1.081, 25 IBU, 10% ABV, $10.99 for a 750ml bottle at Goodmans in Kenosha.

Pours out to a medium peach, forming a tall whipped mouuse-like light yellow/off white head with beautiful retention and lacing owing to it's brisk carbonation, ~3.0 carbs or so. The nose is of white grape and apple juice with hints of pineapple and is a bit boozy as it warms. I don't pick up on coriander, although it's mentioned on the website. Mouthfeel is very soft and billowy and has a slick syrupy mouthfeel. The mouthfeel is such it gives the impression of a much higher OG and FG. The taste is a recap of the nose. Mild bitterness, overall sweet, but with a dry finish. A touch of higher alcohols and very subtle cardboard are flaws in the finish. As it warms, it becomes much more boozy and makes it a bit difficult to finish.

It starts out nice, but this is just too heavy handed and boozy to really compete with the classic example of the style, Duvel, or other nice Belgian golden strongs like Matilda, Pranqster, La Fin Du Monde, or La Chouffe.

A one finger creamy rocky head with fair retention, the head is white in color. The color of the beer is amber color and it hazy. The beer is slightly opaque with some carbonation visible.

N: very fruity with some pear and banana notes, a touch of spicy pepper, caramel, biscuits, yeasty, a touch of citrus, and floral,

T: Very malty with fruity esters, pears, banana phenols, little pepper, caramel, biscuit, yeasty, floral, grass, and touch of floral.

M: Carbonated, medium body, and a little warming.

O: A very good representation of the this style. I could not detect the coriander, but some peppery notes. A well made BPA.

It should be pointed out that this is a Belgian-style ale and as such, it falls a bit short of the real deals overseas. Easy drinking at 10% but the yeast presence (or lack thereof) is what makes this one a tier below. The experience is not authentic overall even for a Belgian-style ale. Still, solid as such just not a top tier offering in it's style.

Had this at the brewery, and, off the tap, it is my second favorite Belgian beer. Never seen it in the bottle at a store, but I'm always looking.

Poured from a bomber into a snifter. A clear yellow color with a decent head and good lacing. The smell is fruity with apples and apricot. These can be tasted as well, along with warm spice and licorice. A bit boozey, but a good beer.

Looks clear 24k gold tones with some tomes of beighter irange showing through, when held up to light: head is flat white, semi-fluffy imo, medium size bubble; enticing. Smell: sweet fruity tones, apricot, apple, slight spice. Taste: follows smell missing spice notes from the coriander, but missing the floral kotes of fresh coriander. Feel is smooth, medium mouthfeel, medium-sweetness, slightly dry finish. Overall, a memorable and well put together, from a brewery that doesn't dissapoint. Pair with smoked poultry and game, mostly white meat.

Bright orange and topped with a thin veil of off-white froth. Prominent light fruits (orange, pear, mango), Belgian yeast and peppercorn in the aroma. Tastes sweet with plenty more Belgian yeast, fruit and spice preceding other notes of taffy and grain with a perfect dose of alcohol in the finish. Medium and borderline creamy.

A devilishly pleasurable beer that pairs well with deviance.

Poured 750ml bottle into Duvel tulip. Bottled 8/2013. It is a cloudy peach gold with a nice 2 finger white head. Nice cap and lacing form on the glass. A bright citrus and coriander aroma along with Belgian yeast, lemon and orange peel. Some banana, clove, and earthiness also are present. Flavor is sweet and yeasty in the front with some banana, but quickly morphs into a citrus and coriander with some spicy hops. Medium smooth feel with a dry finish. A tasty brew even after it sat for 2.5 years.

Flavors include sweet fruit nougat and mild clove and bubblegum. The feel is wonderfully velvety while delivering crisp carbonation.
