Poured from a bomber into a snifter. A clear yellow color with a decent head and good lacing. The smell is fruity with apples and apricot. These can be tasted as well, along with warm spice and licorice. A bit boozey, but a good beer.

Looks clear 24k gold tones with some tomes of beighter irange showing through, when held up to light: head is flat white, semi-fluffy imo, medium size bubble; enticing. Smell: sweet fruity tones, apricot, apple, slight spice. Taste: follows smell missing spice notes from the coriander, but missing the floral kotes of fresh coriander. Feel is smooth, medium mouthfeel, medium-sweetness, slightly dry finish. Overall, a memorable and well put together, from a brewery that doesn't dissapoint. Pair with smoked poultry and game, mostly white meat.

Bright orange and topped with a thin veil of off-white froth. Prominent light fruits (orange, pear, mango), Belgian yeast and peppercorn in the aroma. Tastes sweet with plenty more Belgian yeast, fruit and spice preceding other notes of taffy and grain with a perfect dose of alcohol in the finish. Medium and borderline creamy.

A devilishly pleasurable beer that pairs well with deviance.

Poured 750ml bottle into Duvel tulip. Bottled 8/2013. It is a cloudy peach gold with a nice 2 finger white head. Nice cap and lacing form on the glass. A bright citrus and coriander aroma along with Belgian yeast, lemon and orange peel. Some banana, clove, and earthiness also are present. Flavor is sweet and yeasty in the front with some banana, but quickly morphs into a citrus and coriander with some spicy hops. Medium smooth feel with a dry finish. A tasty brew even after it sat for 2.5 years.

Flavors include sweet fruit nougat and mild clove and bubblegum. The feel is wonderfully velvety while delivering crisp carbonation.

3.48/5: No, it's not the best BSPA ever, but it has the deceptive drinkability I want in the style

This is a big ass substantial beer. I went into this after having a helles lager so my palate needed a good long while to acclimate.

Bears a resemblance to some of the more mouth coating American tripels I've had, minus the Belgian candied sugar and adding a peppery bite. There are some other cooking spices coming through here, I presume those are Belgian yeast phenolics. Maybe a hit of coriander, maybe a little white pepper. The flavor combines those things with a malt base that to be honest is taking me a while to get used to. I would not immediately characterize this as a best of breed Belgian strong pale. There is something in the flavor I can't pin down which I'm not in love with. It's almost coming across like a flaw. Maybe the tap line isn't kosher here? It is almost a little stomach acid like. I'm thinking draft line issue.

Fairly boozy, there's not much of a chance that you'll drink this and only realize afterwards that it was a 10% brew. I've had a number of alesmith beers that were very impressive. This beer I would say is good, but not amazing or even great. If I ever come up with a descriptor for what is bothering me in the flavor I will update this review.

On tap at Lucky Taco, Manchester, CT
L - gold, amber
A - banana, yeast, bread
T - follows nose, slightly sweet
F - nice medium body with clean finish
For me, similar to Allagash Tripel, nice beer all around
