Draft at A1A on 03/17/2005.

Color was a reddish amber with medium frothy head taht mostly lasted with good lacing.

Aroma was complex hops with a tone of citrus.

Medium body with soft carbonation

The flavor and finish was not a strong as the aroma and the finish was small and short.

This is a house favorite.

Reddish Amber in color, thin head, medium collar, some lacing. Aroma is slightly toasted breadiness, some earthy/piney hops. Taste mimics aroma. Body is light (esp for an amber), low carbonation.

This one is dry and hoppy with less of a sugary, malty taste than I was expecting. But in this case it's not a bad thing. The aroma was sweeter than the taste by far. The palate was a tad thin but still OK. OK pretty much covers the description of this beer.

A: This beer pours a caramel color with red highlights. A very clear beer allows you to see some lively carbonation. A bleach white head, about 2 fingers, dissipates rather quickly with not a lot of lacing.

S: The nose was very close to me, but I was sitting outside. What I could get was some citrus hops and caramel malts.

T: A crisp flavor with subtle citrus hops and a mild bitterness. Some caramel malts are there, but are very hard to detect.

M: A very watery texture with medium carbonation and light body.

D: It was 95+ when I drank this and it was surprisingly refreshing. Not the most amazing beer, but I would definately get it again for a hot day.

Single finger head on a clear copper body. Definetly get the casace hops with earthy and tart citrus notes on a caramel malt base. Flavors of earthy, floral and metallic hop varieties with caramel malts, very simple. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Simple and flavorful which is like many of their beers.

On tap at the brewpub.
Pours clear red-brown with a good head and ample lacing.
Aroma: sweet and lightly roasted malts with some light hops.

Flavor: Nicely rich for style. A tad more hoppy than average. Has a mildly bitter lingering aftertaste.

Feel: Medium body and carbonation.

Appearance: pours a lovely clear dark copper color with a 2" that sticks around.

Smell: as with the other A1A beers the aroma is weak. Some soft ripe fruits are all that come through.

Taste: caramel, ripe plums and apple sweetness, and a nice malty profile. Bitterness is mild but nicely balancing.

Mouthfeel: smooth at the start with a dryer smooth fisish. Medium bodied. Short aftertaste.

Drinkability: by far my favorite beer at the brewpub and easy to quaff. Defintely give this one a try.
